I read on another forum that if you take the difference between the Julian and Gregorian calendars we are actually living in the year 2011.

I dont know how this works so im throwing it out to you all.

(that means next year its 2012! WERE ALL GONNA DIE!

I have a book about this issue and all in all it concludes that we probably missed just a few days since beginning of time(so to say: Jesus birth - 0 ).

Nevertheless, it describes some theories and indications that there are more days "skipped" than thought. Even whole years how you mentioned here. As far as I remember it was something between 10-20 years that had been skipped by one pope, reforming the calendar(not talking about the change of calendar system, another issue. That was the one with the few days).

The Gregorian calendar is off by a few years, thus Jesus was born some 5-7 years BC. The calibration of time is wholly arbitrary and has no value except to keep things organized, synchronized and on course, if you're a sailor.
