I've always considered what is construed as Socialism these days to be the retarded sister of Marxism and the spawn of the marriage made in hell of
Communism and Leninism. Socialism in it's truest form, implies social ownership or citizen ownership where all citizens are stakeholders in the
country. We don't have that in Canada and you certainly don't have that in the US. We will never have that as long as our political systems remain
Fascism is what is in place right now through a corporate/feudal oligarchy in the West. That would be corporatism (as coined by fascist Mussolini, but
ownership inverted) or corporate ownership of the government and the debt slave citizens. Make no mistake, the government is a corporation in the
strictest legal sense and as you may well know from working, corporations are not democratic, they are dictatorships. Just try telling your boss you
just don't feel like coming in today, but you expect to get paid anyway.
Democracy is joke, it is the power of a slight majority to wield an axe over the slightly less of a majority. Democracy allows a criminal few in
politics and corporations to easily control the outcomes of elections and political decisions, it's a scam! Democracy, when it fails generally leads
to a dictatorship and/or fascism, in any event a totalitarian state since it eventually polarizes the citizens into specific "camps" and that results
in civil war. The power vacuum in that case is generally filled by a dictator, who is a sociopathic populist with charisma that shortly after taking
power goes seriously "south."
The US had the right idea all along, a republic built on equal laws and fair treatment for all of it's citizens. Real simple it works and if you don't
like it because you can't corrupt a good system, then you can leave or not go to the US in the first place. Unfortunately, the government has been
pushing that the US is a democracy, which it was never meant to be, and consequently have made people believe that politicians have the right to
change the original ground rules that formed the United States, WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF THE PEOPLE. Only the PEOPLE, collectively, have the right to
change the way the US is operated. Not the representatives, not the career politicians, not the president/leader, not the corporations, not the
religious groups, not foreign governments or UN through treaty, only the citizens as a collective.
Well, this can't end well, because you can only fool people for so long before the penny drops (the only one left in their pocket after the
corporate/banking rape). Civil war is coming, it will most likely be everywhere and it won't be pretty. So the only choice you have is choosing the
means to survive the chaos or choosing to do nothing. You have the choice to be a survivor or a victim.
I can't remember who said it but, "For evil to prevail, good men need only do nothing."
Cheers - Dave
