Early fall on the Erie Canal. In the distance you can see one of the gigantic gates used to control the flow of the canal and aids in draining the canal for the winter.

Great picture - thanks for posting it. My guess is Italy?

This pic was taken in Vaadhoo, Raa Atoll, Maldives. The glowing effect in the water is natural bioluminescence.

Here is my contribution. Caught this little guy last weekend. After closing in on him a few times he decided to turn and check me (or the camera) out.
