Something is developing! Those poor Loyalty Island folks have had the # beat out of them for what seems like a month now!

6.5, 7, 5.8 - could lord, I'm not sure they walk on steady ground anymore - kind of like having sea-legs or something...lol

heard somewhere from tv, not sure msnbc or fox, but some people in cali actually slept outdoors last night. it seems they had about 30 tremors in the area there in the past day.

glad I don't live there, don't think I can handle the earth moving under my feet...

It seems that Iran is still having to put up with more and more tremors. I thought earthquakes were supposed to stop, but this one seems to keep rocking the area again and again...

Scary stuff!

Scientists Closely
Monitoring Yellowstone

The Idaho Observer
1-7-4

"When Yellowstone does blow, some geologists predict that every living thing within six hundred miles is likely to die."

Recent Eruptions, 200 Degree Ground Temperatures, Bulging Magma And 84 Degree Water Temperatures Prompt Heightened Scrutiny Of Park's Geothermal Activity

There was no choice but to close off the entire area. Everything in this area is dying: The trees, flowers, grass and shrubs. A dead zone is developing and spreading outward. The animals are literally migrating out of the park

Hey, guys, look at this from my Global Security News for today:

IRAN - Earthquake alert in Khuzestan province
A high earthquake alert has been announced for southwestern Khuzestan province. Companies operating in Iran should attempt to ensure that their offices and staff accommodation are in earthquake-proofed buildings, though in many cases this is not an option.

An earthquake alert!?!

I've been looking into this lately and am concerned. There's heightened seismic activity, a large dead zone, 200 degree ground temperature, long dormant geysers/etc spouting, and alot of other indications that it IS about to blow, which would kill everthing within hundreds of miles, devastate the western US and probably create the equivilant of a nuclear winter without the radiation.

I believe animals are key.
They have already left the general area, but when the big one comes, I believe they will give some kind of warning.
I believe they can sence this stuff before our equipment can.
The question is, who is (or is anyone) watching them.

Well, here is the end-of-year earthquake activity analysis for 2003.

2003 Quake Analysis

Couple of questions:

1. Is anybody interested in these analysis being posted? I want to know if you would like me to continue these through the next year.

2. Is there a better place to post these? (in my blog rather than this thread?)

3. energy_wave - would you be interested in starting a whole new world wide seismic thread for 2004?

Let me know if you want me to continue to post these.

Earthquakes are not reported in mainstream news

JACKSON EARTHQUAKE
JACKSON - 1/7/2004
SOME JACKSON RESIDENTS WOKE UP WITH A JOLT THIS MORNING.

AN EARTHQUAKE REGISTERING A MAGNITUDE OF 5.0 HIT AROUND ONE O`CLOCK IN THE MORNING ABOUT 20 MILES EAST-NORTH-EAST OF JACKSON.

WAVERLY PERSON, GEO PHYSICIST OF THE U-S GEOLOGICAL SURVEY SAYS THREE OTHER QUAKES FOLLOWED UNTIL 2:30 IN THE MORNING.

PERSON SAYS THIS MAY BE THE LARGEST QUAKE HE HAS SEEN IN THE AREA BUT IT IS NOT UNUSUAL.

"WE HAVE SEEN THIS IN MANY OTHER AREAS. IT GOES ON FOR TWO OR THREE DAYS AND THIS SHOULD DO THE SAME THING." SAYS PERSON.

THE SHERIFF`S OFFICE REPORTS VERY LITTLE DAMAGE.

Three sisters has been rumbling for about the last 6 months small quakes that just seem to vibrate the ground. The whole town of Sisters knows that the mountian will blow. The ground has swelled 178 cm in the last 4 years around a 3 square mile radius more at the base of the mountian, we´ve been warned that this could become a active vent. The top of Hood is bulging out toward the east and has been for a couple of years now. Portland had a 2.2 quake this morning [Jan 8] Hood had a 3.4 on Monday that was felt at Timberline Lodge on the mountian. Three Sisters is really shaking. [and from another source] Anyone know what is going on in Ohio? Check out this live helicorder. This live seismic from Disneyworld, Orlando, doesn´t look too quiet to me. Missouri also shows shaking today. [Note: On Jan 8, the USGS had the live siesmos turned down to barely a ripple, but local recorders showed trembling earth and quakes had not subsided.]

Valhall

Did you know Mahatma Gandhi visited Lily Dale and met with Susan B Anthony at the turn of the century?

He came to study western style spirtualism for one full year.

THIS IS ONE LONG THREAD!

I reckon the seismic event is the start of something bigger that will peak in about 7-10 years... it will be more than just earthquakes as well... it will be alot of things that will disrupt our progress significantly... or possibly accelerate it as we learn new methods of dealing with disaster.

Off-topic reply. energy_wave, I have nothing against Mahatma Ghandi...In fact, I have never cracked an offensive joke concerning him. I DO have everything against Hillary Clinton. That is what my sig about.
