Question: I see a lot of mentionings of that all being strange, but what do you think is the reason for the quakes?

I just had a REALLY bad headache just today that made me sick to my stomach... I wonder if this one has anything to do with it.

Earthquake Prediction Online

(WE have to keep an eye on these predictions)

The Seismic Window of November 22-29, 2003 is most auspicious, if not suspicious. I suspect that the total solar eclipse of November 23rd, the extremely close perigee of the Moon (221,560 miles, just 10 minutes later!), will produce the highest tides of the year to date on November 27-28 (8.8-ft. at the Golden Gate; 16.6-ft. at Puget Sound.) This unusual combination creates what I have termed a "super syzygy", and extremely likely conditions for unusual seismic activity. (Add in the max. X-28 Solar flare of Nov 5th.)

Thus, I predict, with 85% confidence, that there will be quakes with the following characteristics: Between November 22-29, 2003 there will be
At least one 3.5-6.0M within 140 miles (2-degrees) of Mt. Diablo (38N; 122W)
At least one 3.5-6.0M within 140 miles of Los Angeles. (34N; 116W)
At least one 3.0-6.0M within OR, WA.
At least one 7+M globally, probably in the Pacific Ring of Fire, where 80% of the strongest quakes occur. The thirteen major events so far this year, through November 1st, are no more than average to date, but eleven have been in a seismic _

The Quake Analysis has been updated with data through 11/26.

B. that upside down and backward chart was weird...I don't know how I pulled that off! But I believe it's fixed now.

Deadly quake in China...ten dead so far, and it only happened less than an hour ago.

Link

As of press time, 10 people were killed and 34 were injured Monday in the earthquake in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to the regional seismological bureau.
The quake, measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale, occurred at 9:38a.m. Monday...

This is the same area as the quake in Feb. of this year that killed more than 250 people.

This thread was started in April.

Do recent quakes have anything to do with the world seismic event after such a long time? Maybe they're just after shocks?

I think that it should go on for a long time, considering the scale of this...

This thread has been an ongoing chronicle of notable earthquakes over the last 7 months.
There've been several "worldwide" seismic events like the one that started this thread over those months.
Most notably, it's a point of correlation between HAARP tracings and subsequent major quake activity..

*sputter*

Virginia?!?!?
According to this article, the last quake in VA was in 1959!

(and, if you scroll back to 12/6 on the HAARP site, you'll see a nice little flurry of activity. The Anchorage station went offline for 2 days afterwards.)

Huh.

I felt the one in Oklahoma in the afternoon. It freaked me out because I was waking up from a nap and noticed that my dresser was shaking and the things you would pull the drawers open with were rattling. First time I've ever felt one!

With all the excitement of the eastcoast earthquake, nobody mentioned the **6.2** in Alaska yesterday.

6.2 2003/12/09 12:44:01 51.482 -179.282 33.0 187 km (116 mi) WSW of Adak, AK

Check out the helicorders in Yellowstone. For yesterday, this one shows up on every one of them.
