USGS is showing 2 of the Antarctica stations offline ....
I've screen capped it this time.
I've a show today, so I'll be out of commission until sometime Sunday. When those tracings magically reappear looking normal, I'll upload the tracings I have.

According to RedPuma, Turkey & Honoshu are shaking today. There have already been hundreds of injuries in Honoshu from the quakes yesterday, so this may only add to that.

HAARP's showing some divergence across the board. Unusual for them all to agree!

HAARP is seriously cranking up today... this is highly unusual, as most HAARP activity is during the week, with very little during the weekend (HAARP operators apparently get the weekends off).

Yellow Knife is really kicking it, but all of the great North is on fire at the moment.

IRIS shows 6 active quakes today...

Palmer Station is showing that drilling activity again!!!!!

At the south pole, very interesting activity... a 4 hour gap, and a new 2 hour gap...

Considering that numerous times members on this thread have found evidence of data being manipulated, I would say this thread is DEFFINITELY being monitored.

of course it is being monitored, as well as everything else. who the hell do you think I am any way?

Solar storm.

Every HAARP mag trace is just jicky as all get out.

And remember people, TODAY is the day of Mars' closest approach!

posted on Jul, 27 2003 @ 10:14 AM
If I hear of strange explosions coming from the surface of Mars followed by objects impacting some farm land in New Jeresy, then I'm going to freak out!!!

posted on Jul, 27 2003 @ 11:51 AM

Bad earthquakes! Bad Mars! Not today!

What scares me is that there's still more of "today" to go, and at this rate a chunk of CA is gonna fall off.

Everybody feeling okay?

Hehe, yes yes.
Thank you.

I have some cookies & some Dr Pepper to celebrate.
But I don't need Mars to crash into the moon or something to make my day complete, thankyouverymuch!

Just looking at the world-wide siesmic page you all refer too, its astounding the accurance of siesmic activity that happened today. Is it just me or is this thing as coordinated as I think it is...?

Look at the timing of this activity. Its astounding. I maybe be pretty drunk but this is something I haven't seen before!

Nah, it isn't just you.
Now, I'm not going to speculate on how drunk you may or may not be, but there's been a lot of quakes today.

If I'm following you here, it's not that one quake shook the whole planet. A lot of the USGS seismos are grouped by geographic region, so a decent-sized tremor will register to a degree on all those graphs.
Unless you look at the enlarged graphs (clicking on the small ones on the USGS site), the distortion from shrinking the images will make it look like everything is shaking at exactly the same time.
But, keep in mind that the USGS site is just another to add to our list of manipulated data. Take what you see there with a healthy grain of salt.

DR and anyone else following Antarctica,

Something odd's going on with the Palmer Station seismo. I've seen the "drilling" pattern before, but this just looks ...strange.

I've screen capped it in case somthing changes.

HAARP is going wonky still.
But check out Anchorage. We're losing both north and vertical tracings to offscale highs.

and RedPuma
Are both showing a *lot* of activity for today, including a couple 6+.

Damn, I decide to take one day off, and all hell breaks loose!!!!!!

I notice that we have a quake centered really damn close to Gakona, and another in Russia near the Soviet ZEVS array.... hmmm... coincidence?? Not likely.

Another major geomagnetic storm, but no solar flares... Check out the KP index and the electron flux....

Banshee, that seismic signature at Palmer station is DEFFINITELY artificial excavation of some kind...

A massive dig 2 miles underground MAY provide a cause for the seismic profiles I have been seeing. However, it would have to be HUGE, something bigger than this.....

Such a project is going to cost into the tens and possibly hundreds of BILLIONs of dollars, especially considering its location in Antarctica.... Now what could make them want to spend that kind of money????

Hey there Dragon,

I am a theorist not a geoligist, however, and not that it matters, my sister has a Dr's. in geology, so rocks run in my blood.
At any rate a thought occured to me last night while I awaited sleep to come and I hoped you could provide some insight.
It is about the nature of ice as opposed to the nature of earth.
As seismic activity courses thru earth to sensors a certain amount of energy is absorbed by sand, mud, soft formations etc... Am I correct so far?
But if you were drilling in ice there are no other mediums around to absorb the seismic waves, are there?
Also another thought I have here. Is it even possible for ice to experience earthqukes or simply be affected like a stucture woul be?
Please excuse my simplicity and lack of knowledge
tut your humble follower

posted on Jul, 27 2003 @ 11:30 PM

Before I launch into an answer for you, please keep in mind my degree is in petroleum geology, and I had one lone course in seismology, long ago, so I am NOT a true seismologist.

However, yes, P and S waves (seismic waves) do propogate differently through hard and soft mediums, and behave differently depending on the specific vibrational conductance and density of the medium. I cannot give you much more of a run down on the properties of the different seismic waves in different mediums without looking it up in my old text book.

Yes, ice should and to my knowledge does conduct seismic waves (although it may and likely does have different conductance properties for P and S waves. I do not know off the top of my head how it differs from propogating through different rocks though).

I do find it interesting that this "drilling" activity has been in progress now for over 20 hours straight...

posted on Jul, 28 2003 @ 12:15 AM
Well if it's 20 hours straight it ain't no drilling rig, it would have to stop and make connections and circulate. I'm sure you'd still have to circulate ice out, probably with air. And you would see a drilling break lasting at least 5 minutes for every connection under those sub zero conditions. My money is on the tunnel theory.
Does that seismic chart your studying give you a depth analysis?
That would be interesting.

BTW the answer to your other question is no. Actually I received a phone call on Friday informing me that I was now officially retired and written confirmation would soon follow as well as benefits. Far freak'in out, maybe now I can get a life while I can still breath.
