I can respect the fact that Mitt Romney is good with money and has done very well for himself. My main question is regarding his reason for deciding to hold political positions... He clearly can't relate to the average person so maybe he should just accept the fact that he's really good at making money(nothing wrong with that) but not so great at holding a public position. It just seems like he's trying to carve another notch on his belt, what does ATS think?

I think he wants to use the bully pulpit to press his religious and financial agenda; Promoting corporate interests, appointing Supreme Court judges, etc. I'm not sure what Mormons on his level really believe, but I don't trust him.

It is psychological. People that go after those positions are unbelievably narcissistic and they tend to have a strong urge to control everything around them. He wants to be powerful. Plain and simple as that.

He's that guy that always dreamed of being the quarterback in school

He likes the fame

He likes that people will suck up to him

He likes that he can make more money through back room corporate deals
