Amid gun battles, they sealed off the Haifa Street area in response to mortar attacks on nearby Iraqi ministries and the US and British embassies.

During the operation, a car packed with explosives rammed a police convoy in the Rashid Street district, killing three policemen and injuring 37 people.

There was also violence in the restive city of Falluja, west of Baghdad, where at least three people were killed in a new US air strike on Friday.

A very quick..efficient and deadly attack by the combined forces of the Iraqi and US forces.

They moved very quickly after the car bomb attacks on there police and civilians...asking the US for help and getting it shows us all that working together we can achieve goals.

Even tho there was civilian casualties...more good came out of the strike than worse.

Just been looking at Teletext ITV seem that the repercussion for the 63 suspected militants arrested was a suicide car bomb attack killing up to 13 people and wounding around 50 others at a central check point in Baghdad.
