Well it didn't take long did it.

Soon after Iran's nuclear announcements on Wednesday, they have new threats for everybody to ponder and analyze and shrug off !!

First Publish: 2/16/2012, 4:15 AM -- Arutz Sheva, Israel

Just hours after Iran announced it would be expanding centrifuge operations at the underground Fordo nuclear facility near Qoms, the Islamic Republic continued to threaten the West.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast warned the U.S. and its allies on Wednesday evening that “hasty steps will lead to heavy casualties,” Channel 2 News reported.

“The U.S. and its Western allies are unable to carry out any operation against Iran,” Mehmanparast was quoted as having said. “Any irresponsible response will lead to heavy casualties.

He added that the global hegemony against the Islamic Republic is due to its “influence” on world politics. Referring to the accusations that Tehran was behind the latest wave of terrorist attacks against Israeli targets, Mehmanparast said, “Israel commits acts of terrorism, then blames Tehran to divert public opinion.”

Iran says ....

Are They really THAT Serious ??

people and their suicidal government..

It's a response from where our navy announced that they were ready to attack any time. If the attack is by ground, sea, and air simultaneously, then our forces would indeed suffer heavy casualties. Our military, however, has the habit of softening up enemies with heavy air and sea attacks before sending in the marines. Usually by the time the marines land the country is already defeated.

I think youll see a massive preemptive airstrike by NATO coalition forces since Iran has like 3000 ballistic missiles aimed at oil fields and NATO bases all over the region, which they have expressed will be launched in the event of an attack on Iran.

I have a few questions for you since you seem to be gung ho about bombing Iran. Are you jewish? Are you a christian zionist? why aren't you calling for regime change in Saudi Arabia or N Korea? Why Iran?

You think it is funny
Iran has vowed to
kill every single jew
and eradicate the infidels ?

Surely Iran knows their true intentions
and anyone with their head out of the sand
DOES TOO!

Cause Iran is next in line, I thought you knew that.
Im sure NK will be left alone since they have some kind of nuke. Saudi is last on the list, If we invaded that country every Arab would be fighting against us at once.

There are tens of thousands of Jews living in Iran. They remain, despite enormous financial incentives offered by Israel to emigrate. Your concept of politics is shockingly detached from reality.

Guess they should start with the Jews within their borders, you know, the ones that refuse to move to Israel.

This might surprise you, but not everybody that doesnt support the terrorist regime that enslaves Iran is a 'zionist'. Im an atheist and a secularist, a center-left independent, a social liberal, and a fiscal conservative.

The DPRK is a slave state of China these days and isnt a threat to anybody but itself, and I am in full support of sanctions against the Saudis for the Royal Family's barbaric abuse of Human rights, and if those sanctions do nothing, then military intervention to overthrow the violent regime in power.

No. Dont voluntarily sign up to the U.S. military if you wont go into harms way for the government when they need you to. Nobody is forcing them to do anything. They made the decision to enlist.

That explains your war mongering retoric. If you believe in fighting oppressive regimes, you can go enlist.

Yes, resort to an uneducated insult because you have nothing left to say.

The only war monger is you and those who support regimes that make no secret of their desire to commit genocide and wage war.

This article has taken the comments and the situation completely out of context, and is pure propaganda.

The statement made by Iran was referring to naval situations, but the article conveniently made sure to trick the readers into thinking it had to do with recent happenings in their nuclear power advancements.

Did Iran say anything that correlates the two? NO!

Pretty slick attempt at tricking the dumbed-down masses....hope none of you fell for it!

Russia should just deliver 50-100 Nukes to Iran and any missile defense add-ons to Iran.
Just the same as the US and it's deployment of a defense shield in the EU.

Once that's done,
Israel and the US can then try and think of a new game to play.

ATS should ensure that the propaganda from MSM when posted here is for the purpose of pointing out the obvious disinfo within it, not trying to push it as truth or validation of any 'threat'.

ATS members should be breaking down these MSM articles, not trying to push the propaganda further down our throats.

point out propaganda and disinfo,
promoting it makes a poster appear nothing more than just another pawn
