Like we never heard jews being called the chosen people, or Americas policy of manifest destiny? Get real. America and Israel are just as religious as Iran. Bush said God told him to invade Iran, and let's not forget Israel cites a rligious text for why they deserve Palestine. This is pot calling the kettle black.

A new critique of Israel proposes its elimination and replacement with a bi-national Palestinian-Jewish state. Israel's new detractors doubt the legitimacy of Jewish statehood, though they say nothing about the validity of dozens of new states that have emerged in the last half century, many of which lack any firmly rooted national identity. The new attack on Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state is particularly ironic since Jewish nationhood preceded the emergence of most modern nation-states by thousands of years.

The new critics of Jewish statehood neglect the fact that Israel's communal expression - like that of many communal states around the world - in no way infringes the rights of minority citizens, who enjoy full equality under the law and the political system. They also ignore that this form of national expression is not unique; indeed, most states identify in some formal way with the religious or cultural heritage of their predominant communities. Yet only Israel is singled out for criticism.

Israel is the only state created in the last century whose legitimacy was recognized by both the League of Nations and the United Nations. The League of Nations Mandate did not create the rights of the Jewish people to a national home in Palestine, but rather recognized a pre-existing right - for the links of the Jewish people to their historic land were well-known and accepted by world leaders in the previous century.

By 1864, a clear-cut Jewish majority emerged in Jerusalem - more than half a century before the arrival of the British Empire and the League of Nations Mandate. During the years that the Jewish presence in Eretz Israel was restored, a huge Arab population influx transpired as Arab immigrants sought to take advantage of higher wages and economic opportunities that resulted from Jewish settlement in the land. President Roosevelt concluded in 1939 that "Arab immigration into Palestine since 1921 has vastly exceeded the total Jewish immigration during the whole period."

Israel's new detractors seek to delegitimize Jewish national rights by arguing that their assertion was an extension of European imperialism. In fact, Jewish underground movements waged an anti-colonial war in the 1940s against continuing British rule. Israel was an anti-imperialist force when it first emerged, while the Arab states were aligned with the imperial powers, their armies trained and supplied by the French and British Empires.

There was no active movement to form a unique Palestinian state prior to 1967. In 1956, Ahmad Shuqairy, who would found the PLO eight years later, told the UN Security Council: "it is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria." In the early 1960s, many Palestinians looked to Egypt's Abdul Nasser as their leader as much as to any Palestinian. Given the historical background, it is impossible to argue that the Palestinians have a claim to the Land of Israel superior to that of the Jews, as Israel's detractors contend.

The new assault on Israel is partly based on ignorance of Jewish history in today's highly secularized world. But it also emanates from a new anti-Semitic wave reflected in a public opinion poll by the European Commission showing Israel as the country most regarded by Europeans as a threat to world peace. The president of the European Commission, Roman Prodi - alluding to the anti-Semitic underpinnings that led to the poll's results - said, "to the extent that this may indicate a deeper, more general prejudice against the Jewish world, our repugnance is even more radical."

maybe if israel didn't foam at the mouth at the thought of a nuclear Iran, people might respect Israel as a nation.

Maybe if Israel didnt bulldoze palestinian homes and kill peaceful protesters in their way, people might be willing to recognize israel as a peaceful nation.

Maybe if isral didnt ironically keep palestinians boxed in like a giant concentration camp, maybe people would really believe israel wants peace.

Maybe if aipac wasn't so religiously closed minded when it came to controlling us congress, people would not say they influence politics.

Maybe if Israeli and neocon mouthpieces did not disenfranchise ron paul and other peace candidates, people might think the elections were fair and open.

Maybe if israel didnt have nukes, people might agree a nuclear iran is a bad idea

maybe if all of zionism wasnt a fundamentalist excuse to rape and pillage the land, people might believe irans mullahs were religious extremists

Maybe if us/israel didnt pull false flags multiple times throughout history, people might believe iran was behind the india/georgia bombings

maybe if israel didnt kill iranian scientists and brag about it, people would view israels cause as righteous.

maybe if israel mossad and their dual israeli citizens in america didnt commit 9/11 people would support the war on terrorism.

Maybe if Adam Gadahn didnt play arab dress up, people might take the terroism propaganda seriously.

Maybe if the underwear bomber was not let on the airplane to bring in naked body scanners, people might respect the tsa.

Call it a new criticism of israel, it seems pretty old to me.

Is that what you sayd when 2,000 Israelis where blown on thier streets during the Oslo peace process?...i suspect not...

Every move of Israel towards peace was answerd by violence by the palastinians, thats a fact.

the arabs do not want a palastinian state, they want an end to Israel, and are using the palastinians as pawns. For six decades, Palestinians have been forced by Arab governments to live in often squalid conditions so that they could serve as propaganda tools against Israel, even as millions of refugees elsewhere have been repatriated and absorbed by their host countries. it's a reminder of the cynicism of so much Arab pro-Palestinian propaganda, and the credulity of those who fall for it.

Israel is doing what it needs to protect itself, and that does not go without critisism from me, but being critical against Israel, and the will to end its existens, are to completely different things.

I admit Israel works with other Arab countrys such as Khatar Saudi Arabia and the emirates...but you can keep on trying to take my words out of context, if that makes you feel better.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

israel is working with more than just arab countries, try terrorist groups to assassinate iranian scientists. Killing a scientist is terrorism no matter how you spin it.

And then Israel has the nerve to complain about Iran giving money to terrorist groups. Someone should ask the Israeli mouthpiece in the video if he even has proof for even half of the things he claims.

No every move towards peace was not met by violence by the Palestinians do some checking you'll see Israels hand behind most of it.

Why should the Arab government build homes for the refugees? Maybe Israel can give back all of the land it has stolen over the decades and also pay reparation to all the Palestinians.

The proble is they people are not willing to compromise and live side by side no matter
what the race or religion. doesn't they fact that this is all being played out because they
can't agree on who's god is the one true god ( who ever came up with that phrase i'd like to
beat into a bloody pulp. it's just crazy, religion, nuclear wepons and world politics just insain.
and yes oil is one of the major reasons, but it's all about power in one sence or another.

The problem is Iran have not allowed american/UK/Europe monopolies to buy in to their infrastructure/natural resources ..they have failed to corrupt Iran's leaders .they have failed to start a revolution

..final solution is a military strike on Iran ..this has nothing to do with our protection, or society ..its all about profit

only threat we face are the banks and the people who run those banks...they are your enemy...not Iran

Oh. you mean like Israel and it's Zionist lead group of war mongers who constantly steal Palestinian land and murder in the name of God like the Catholics in the crusades and break the terms of their own UN membership and attack the USA with an act of War not once but at least 3 times.. that kind of religious fanaticism ?

Clearly there is a lot going on in history you don't know about and this guy's videos are full of media spin. The Israelis created the situation in the Middle East and is using the USA to do it's bidding. If Iran is a threat to anyone it's only because Israel and it's dog the USA backed it into a corner and is fearing for it's life.

you are wrong. Your racist injections dont work on me. I am not the nazi. If you had the slightest bit of an open mind you would know that.

Maybe your problem is not with iran, but with muslims.
