Iran Cuts Oil Exports / Announces Nuclear Advances

www.washingtonpost.com

Responding to European Union sanctions on Iran’s banking and energy sectors, including a boycott of new oil contracts with Iran, the government said it would no longer export oil to Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece and Portugal, the official Press TV reported. The announcement helped drive the price of crude to nearly $102 a barrel Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was unveiling a total of three nuclear projects on Wednesday...

The third project is a line of new carbon fiber centrifuges, which state television said have more output and enrich uranium faster than older centrifuges.

State television said each of the projects would adhere to Iran’s nuclear slogan: “nuclear energy for all, nuclear weapons for none.”

Welp, the rumors from yesterday are now confirmed.

Iran has cut oil deliveries to 6 European nations.

And it turns out that "nuclear advance" they were planning on releasing is a new carbon fiber centrifuge that can enrich uranium faster and have more output than conventional ones.

The other announcements were that the new reactor and underground bunker were up and running, but everyone including the IAEA knew that.

Iran seems to be trying to take a huge step forward onto the nuclear energy scene.

I guess the sanctions imposed in the back door of the UN [united nuts] is a good way to keep the European countries in line as they lose the population to war mongering.
Brilliant an easy way to manipulate life and liberty and not take the blame.
"Yep Joe it's Iran's fault, they are just pissed because we won't let them trade and froze the countries assets."
Now let's nuke them and take the damn oil!
Peace!

So... if I am understanding this correctly.... Iran's response to sanctions by the U.N. forbidding Iranian oil contracts (IE - not buying oil) is to shut off oil shipments... that presumably don't exist to begin with?

Or are the sanctions only targeting new oil contracts?

... In either case - this comes as little surprise.
