With your doctrine, when a friend of mine as a kid shoved gold rush bubble gum down my pocket as we were walking out of the drug store (at that point I could not remove it) and we were both arrested, I should have been put to death? Honestly, I'm surprised so few people have cried out "Troll!" as that's exactly what this is. I guess the OP really has done a great job.

I'll outline my reasoning with my inferences of his/her own words.

The first clue was the blatant contradiction in the first post:

That's an obvious contradiction, and I should have stopped reading there. Unfortunately, the second clue is not-so-cleverly disguised in the same few paragraphs. I'm sure most of everyone noticed "rich liberals". That was obvious baiting. It wasn't even original.

The next clue is the following quote, which many of you have addressed specifically.

All intelligent and law-abiding citizens will agree with me.

Now, I'll admit, it's possible at this point for the OP to actually be this ignorant. Because of this, I decided to read through the rest of the thread. After a while of seeing angry reply after angry reply, I decided to seek out the OP's responses to all of your replies. This is what struck me next:

Come on. After all of the logical replies about the faults of this theory(it's not a theory; this is a troll thread), the OP looked to be coming around. Again, that was his/her intention. He/she was teasing you with a bit of logic, then decided to ruin it with the last sentence of the post.

The next clue(this is getting tiring; how did most of you not see all of this?):

Again, the OP talks about the idea that if one is intelligent, one is on his/her side. The OP is not this delusional, people.

The final clue I give you is the following, and complied with every other clue, should finally bring you to your destination. The OP is a troll; this is a troll thread; it needs to be deleted.

I never expected liberals to give proper and considered replies to this provocative and interesting thread. I did expect kneejerk repsosnes; some of you clearly never read and thought about my initial post.

What might the victims of crime think about your heartless replies?

The OP admits to putting thought into his/her liberal comment. That's the only proof I need to decide that this is a troll thread, but the OP admits to trolling a second time with the statement about expecting knee-jerk responses. Then, just to lather the faux-ignorance on even more, the OP makes a statement designed to evoke emotion.

So, in conclusion, I'm going to say what needs to be said and leave.

Whats funny about this thread is that the OP claims there would be less murder in his/her world with all crimes punished by death.

Well what exactly qualifies as murder? How about killing someone just because they made a mistake and drove a few miles over the speed limit. Would you consider that murder?

It seems to me that with these principals murder would go way up!

Also, people would become so scared. It would be hell to go through something like the OP is describing. Waking up every day not knowing if you will accidently commit a crime you didn't even know about and be sent to death because of it?

Make everything legal so there is no crime, and then perhaps it might work.

Know what? I undertand why you feel the way that you do. I once was misled and only believed that ruthlessness and violence was the only answer to evil preying on the weak. However, You're at a lost my friend, you have allowed the evils of the world to completely stomp out any humanity within you. You must not have any children I bet eh? Yeah, I understand.

Just so you know, I want death to anyone who ruthlessly kills any humanbeing. Anyone who hurts a child, = Death. Accidents are another story, and deserve a manslaughter sentence.

If you killed every criminal today, that would not get rid of all criminals. There is no criminal gene.

If you killed every criminal every day for the next 100 years, that would not get rid of all criminals.

I believe evolution, along with refining of laws, might some day lead to a point where no one commits crime, but that will take a loooong time.

People become criminals because of their environment and upbringing. So until you find a way to make everyone's life so great that they have no reason to commit a crime, then you fail.

Oh, that or you can feed us all fluoride until we're completely docile.

I hope this is sarcasm or something, because you clearly are making some kind of assumption that there are criminals and non-criminals, and nothing in between and a person can never switch between groups.

I believe that in some of your theories, but your idea that everyone has to just love eachother, and that means that we must love evil human beings and give them a break is an absolute joke. Look at life on this planet, and tell me what you see? Your FEEL GOOD theory is a nice one, but the truth of the matter is that this planet is a ruthless battle betwen the strong and the weak. Criminals always know when they are doing something illegal. We all know right from wrong.

A few legal mistakes would be the acceptable cost for a virtually crime free planet.

We are now evolved enough as a species that something must be done about crime. Just knowing that even the smallest of crimes could result in the ultimate cost, would bring down crime in dramatic terms.

The benefits would be fantastic.

No more ‘no go’ areas.
Less murder.
More conscientious behaviour to fellow man.
No more organized crime.
Greater respect for law and justice.
Happier citizens.
