I really wish I could make further comment at this time but I've been doing a bit of digging and cant find anything other than whats in this article. Hopefully as the day/days progress we will get to find out more about the case and whether it warrants any further discussion. For now I will just link you to the article:

www.bbc.co.uk...

Officers are treating the death as suspicious but said the investigation was at "an early stage"

Det Ch Simon Insp Crisp said a pathologist and a forensic scientist were assessing the scene.

"A full search and examination of the property will take place and we're determined to find the cause of the death," he said.

Not much in the BBC article.

What I did find strange was the fact they needed to mention that the doors were locked in the MSN article. Which to me would indicate something other than suicide for it to be 'mysterious'. Got me thinking about the 'tooms' x-files episode but I very much doubt it will be anything as interesting as that. Anybody got any information on the Reverand? Would be interesting to know if he was involved in anything political or anything that could be construed as 'radical'.

AHHHHH Tooms! I had nightmares because of that for a year or so.

The only differences between the BBC and MSN articles are the arrangement of the sentences, MSN not seeming to be sure of the victim and the sentence "A post-mortem examination is to be held after a vicar was found dead at his vicarage near Bristol."

Is it strange to anyone else that the "not so sure" MSN article says it was published 5 hours before the "we know who the victim was" BBC article?

Well it looks like its been explained. Knew it was more than just a simple suicide,I'm on the phone at the moment but will post a link to the updated story later. It turns out it was part of a double murder, the other being an elderly female, commited by a middle aged guy. We are still awaiting a motive.
