NYPD "Stop and Frisk" reaches all time high

After the governor gets rid of the S&F database, after the chief tells them to stop making small-amount pot busts (which they were supposed to have stopped some 30 years ago) the 'Stop and Frisk' harassment not only lives on but is at an all-time high:

City police officers stopped and questioned 684,330 people on the street last year, a record since the NYPD began yearly tallies of the tactic in 2002 and a 14 percent increase over 2010.

12% resulted in arrests or summonses.

So while the leaders make token changes to policy to sugar-coat things on one end the street soldiers keep on doing what they do on the other.

Gotta meet those quotas.

Multiply that by the number of cities in america and you get an impressive daily total of BS stop and searches for no reason.....Also an impressive number of BS charges that give people records which then disenfranchise them from society making them liable to reoffend since they are vey likely tobe stopped again and again....

What I got from the article was that the number of searches was unknown but that a guess of 50% was reasonable. If those (12%) arrested were searched, that means that a quarter of the stop and frisks resulted in arrests. That's a lot of arrests. Astonishingly better than TSA.
