Let's dissemble the article.....

As a tool of persuasive political analysis it is a high-quality instrument; however it is clearly a vehicle of public opinion-crafting and social engineering (in as mush as can be said, many - if not most, such news 'sources' regardless of nationalism or ideology can be similarly described.)

OK, "news" source = reputable, generally mainstream editorial - political focus.

So now.. let's look at the information conveyed....

Like many good journalist, Mr. Shalev ensures that the audience's "rubric" is embodied in the first paragraph of the article...

Americans of Hispanic origin, the fastest-growing ethnic group in the United States, are relatively hostile towards Israel because they are ignorant about Middle East affairs and are influenced by traditional anti-Israeli Catholic views, according to the Israel advocacy group, The Israel Project (TIP).

Let's isolate the elements of the message:

Hispanics = fastest-growing ethnic group in the United States
Hispanics = relatively hostile towards Israel
Hispanics = ignorant about Middle East affairs

Interestingly, this article is about a tangential comment made during a press conference which had nothing to do with Hispanics, but was really to mark the resignation of TIP’s founder, Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi ( former legislative assistant to the US Congress, media "talking head" and darling of the pro-Israeli lobby.)

The founder of the TIP in 2002, will be leaving in five months.
