Real country has to have a steel guitar and some fiddle. I'm not a big country fan but that's how I like it. Modern country with guitars and all that based off a rock band set just turned it into rock n roll. In my opinion anyways.

For me, real country music doesn't have to be about farms or being country (which comprises most of the pop subject matter today.)

It just has to have an authentic southern feel to it...
