This is my first thread . Its a long read
and its about how I think there is a big conspiracy
against Obama....hey where'd you go ?
There will be no videos, or links.
It is is pure speculation throughout.
I've said before that ATS members will tell you,
"your Mom is not your Mom", and put up links to prove it.
It will not be a popular thread. That, I can promise.
Oh, and it's Long. Did I mention that?

I'll get right to it. There are many conspiracies at play
in the world, but one of the most aggressive is against Obama.
Yep, you heard me. The conspiracy is against Obama.
This idea is as popular as drowning Christian Kittens
on this site, but I didn't arrive at this hastily.
So please just read a bit. And comment if you like.

Hopefully most understand that the true power
in the world is wielded by big Oil. Big Oil's biggest
customer is the US mil. They are the business end
of that power. That said, keep in mind for later
what Obamas' platform was in 08. Green energy,
infrastructure and covering Americans with health insurance.
(Obama Care, for my rightwing friends)

So when you hear, 'Obama goes back on his promises',
what is more plausible ? That sneaky Obama never
intended to close Gitmo ? Or, did the Military Ind.
Complex say 'no way'?

RANT: I think it's important to stop and think.
Especially for our members/lurkers who get their
"news" from Alex J, Rush or Michael Savage
Fox and NewsMax .

Did Obama kill your grandma ?
Turn you commie ? Turn your grandma commie?
Start Black Panther daycares?
Were you shot for having a garden?
How many guns have been taken ?

The political right tears into Obama on what
they think he's "gonna" do. This is a theme.
Have you noticed the rhetoric is always
what he's "gonna" do? Rarely 'what he's done.'
And when it is, it's usually just plain wrong.
Just ask GM, the #1 car maker in the world.
They saved 140,000 jobs, paid back every cent,
& many of you don't know this is fact.
And, just a hunch, but I bet that wasn't the angle
for the GM story on FOX.

You've been had.
You've been had by the insurance execs & big oil execs.
You've been had by the Christian Right & Tea Party.
You've been had by FOX & NewsMax*. (speaking of NM)
You've been had by the banner ads here at ATS.
*Look at all the ads telling you
'Obamas going to ruin this country'.
Do you see any ads against Newt or Mitt ?
Have you ever?  If you don't know this paraphrased
adage, 'me thinks they protest too much', check it out.
But I think the idea has been to keep us preoccupied
with birth cert., secret Muslim stuff and a whole lotta
"what he's gonna do". So health care, green energy
Jobs and infrastructure are forgotten about.

And yes I'll wait for the replies that tell me
'I've been had by Obama'. Which is fair and funny.
But have you heard him sing?(haha) Also please know
I was a libertarian & Ron Paul supporter
 for many years.

INTRODUCTION:   I'm a musician living in Austin Tx,
with my lovely wife our dog and cat.
Being from Austin, I followed Alex J early on,
starting in 98 on Austin Access TV.  Much of what
he said made sense to me. Especially after
he was focused on Bush/Cheney. So I knew,
what he was saying, had to be true, haha.
But in 09 it seemed something changed.
Maybe Alex was bought out by Oil tycoons the Koch bros,
I thought?  He seemed bent on attacking firefighters, nurses
teachers etc. and taught that Unions were evil.
09 is when his income went up. Way up.
He moved into an exclusive gated community in
W.Austin & bought a 425hp muscle-car.
(jealous about that one)
Big deal. Good for him right? I was glad for him.
So when he screamed, 'Obama was "gonna"
kill my grandma', I decided to read the legislation.
Well guess what? There was NOTHING that even
came close to what he was spewing. I looked back
through many issues and had to reevaluated my stance.
(and his) Especially since Martial law was about
10 years late at that point.

Quick question. Do you think if Obama was the outgoing prez
in 2008, after collapsing the economy, authorizing torture,
opening Guantanamo, spying on citizens, repealing h/corpus,
starting two wars AND, Joe Biden owned the company
that profited the most from said wars, there would have
been an investigation?  What would these "Judges"
investigating his Birth cert. have done with all that ?

PREDICTION:   A few months back a former
US VP held a secret meeting (he likes those)
with Republican law-makers.
I speculate, like all of this rant, that it was then
apparent to him that Obama had 2012 in the bag.
My prediction is that the former VP will rent
a merc team to take our prez out.
(  Blackwater team 6 or Xe 11, who knows?)

If Obama gets a congress that'll work with him,
oil companies and the ultra-rich will pay fair taxes
for the first time since the 50's*.
(*what leftist was in charge then? )
oh yeah, Eisenhower.  Sorry.   Anyway,
the former VP and his energy buddies aren't keen
on more taxes & may have realized it's much cheaper
to simply remove Obama from power.
If successful, this VP will have launched the biggest
false flag of all, (his 2nd IMO) and this country
will fall apart. If this happens, I will find
Cheney and take all of his batteries.

I respect many of you whom
I disagree with politically on this forum.
So I truly didn't want to sound like a smart a**.
(you try being "prObama" on ATS)
I'm aware this rant is futile for changing minds,
but some of you say:
'It doesn't matter which party is in charge'*.
And Yes I agree, they're  all evil swindlers,
but this is my point of my first thread.
(well that and the Cheney to kill Obama thing)
That it does indeed matter whose in charge.
*Because one party really may kill your Grandma
(through legislation) and it ain't Obama.

The ban I stated, is for myself. I'm going to
do you all a favor and try to stay out of the political
forums. I get too worked up.
I like most of you & am much happier
when we're discussing UFO'S. I'm just curious as to
what y'all think about this scenario .

1. Not subcontracted out the details of the 2009 stimulus to interest-group-addled Congressional Democrats. Instead, he could have drawn up his own plan that relied more on large, quick payroll tax cuts rather than the ”shovel ready” infrastructure projects that, as Obama later admitted, weren’t shovel ready and (in the case of home-weatherization efforts) were delayed most of the year while bureaucrats figured out how to apply union-backed “prevailing wage” regulations. And why do we think aid to state and local governments–a stimulus centerpiece–had such a big Keynesian “multiplier”? Didn’t many states use the money to pay down their debts rather than retain workers?

2. Sold his health care reform as a valuable benefit for voters that would give them security (they’d be covered) and freedom (they could leave their jobs without losing insurance) rather than as an eat-your-peas plan that would not only “bend the cost curve” by denying treatments but somehow actually reduce the deficit–a sales pitch that assured Obamacare would be unpopular and vulnerable long after Dems rammed it through Congress. At the time, New Yorker‘s Ryan Lizza said that Obama had “staked his presidency” on Budget Director Peter Orszag’s notion that “health care reform is deficit reduction.” It was a stupid bet. He lost it.

3. Made the UAW take a pay cut. Whoever else is to blame, the UAW’s demands for pay and work rules clearly contributed to the need for a taxpayer-subsidized auto bailout. To make sure that future unions were deterred from driving their industries into bankruptcy, Obama demanded cuts in basic pay of … exactly zero. UAW workers gave up their Easter holiday but didn’t suffer any reduction in their $28/hour base wage. Wouldn’t a lot of taxpayers like $28 hour jobs? Even $24 an hour jobs?

4. Pivoted! In 2010, after the health care bill passed, Obama was going to “pivot” to jobs but wasn’t able to do that when … yeah, I don’t remember what prevented him from doing it either. What’s that FDR quote Alter likes to trot out, about “bold, persistent experimentation”? That is not the attitude the Obama White House gives off when it comes to jobs. Maybe the Weitzman profit-sharing plan isn’t the answer. Maybe a use-it-or-lose-it credit card won’t work. Maybe a neo-WPA paying minimum wages wouldn’t attract unemployed middle class workers–though it could be tried in one or two states. But Obama’s attitude has been: “I tried A. I proposed B. So I propose B again. And again. And again.”

5. Not pursued a zombie agenda of “card check” and “comprehensive immigration reform”–two misguided pieces of legislation that Obama must have known had no chance of passage but that he had to pretend to care about to keep key Democratic constituencies on board. What was the harm? The harm was that these issues a) sucked up space in the liberal media, b) made Obama look feckless at best, delusional at worst, when they went nowhere; c) made him look even weaker because it was clear he was willing to suffer consequence (b) in order to keep big Democratic constituencies (labor, Latinos) on board.

6. Dispelled legitimate fears of “corporatism“–that is, fears that he was creating a more Putin-style economy in which big businesses depend on the government for favors (and are granted semi-permanent status if they go along with the program). I don’t think Obama is a corporatist, but he hasn’t done a lot to puncture the accusations. What did electric carmaker Tesla have to promise to get its Dept. of Energy subsidies? Why raid GOP-donor Gibson’s guitars and not Martin guitars? We don’t know. At this point, you have to think the president kind of likes the ambiguity–the vague, implicit macho threat that if you want to play ball in this economy, you’re better off on Team Obama. That’s a good way to guarantee Team Obama will be gone in 2013.

7. Stolen some populist Tea Party thunder by going vigorously after Wall Street. Even Alter says Obama “neglected to use his leverage over the banks and failed to connect well with an angry public.” (Alter was also the first to get Obama’s admission of “shovel-ready” ignorance. How many does it take, Jon?)
8. Not appointed pro-union innovators to NLRB who try to hamstring our biggest remaining industrial exporter by preventing it from opening a non-union factory in South Carolina–and then not had his spokesman say there’s nothing the president can do about it because, hey, the NLRB is “independent.”
9. Faced with Republican demands for leaner government, embraced them! Instead of letting GOPs make him the champion of bigger government and higher taxes, Obama could have said he thought higher taxes are probably inevitable but that he wasn’t going to raise them or cut a penny from benefits until he was sure all the fat has been wrung out of Washington. Become Dr. Cut-the-Bloat! Instead of letting his top management official advertise for a new $80,000-a-year ”deputy speechwriter,” tell him

Everyone is welcome to their opinions. Based on whatever information they deem "factual". I can tell you that, as someone who is very intimately familiar with the BP Oil spill, don't drink the Obama koolaid.

He very aggressively used the US Coast Guard to keep out locals, non corporate media, and even the local National Guard. Local fisherman were mostly kept from offshore cleanup ops and outside contractors (Cheney connected) were brought in. Obama's NOAA, EPA, and most of his Cabinet did everything they could to ensure BP was protected and that the op was completely controlled, especially on the information front. Even while he and his interior secretary pretended to "crack down" on the company. Right.

He and the corporate media demonized our Governor and local leaders who were actually doing a lot to protect the marshes. The EPA and the Administration tried to stop us from using land bridges, berms, and vacuum barges and boats to halt the oil flow into our marshes and inland waterways due to "environmental concerns." Yes, it might harm the environment if you create a temporary land bridge to STOP OIL FROM SATURATING DELICATE MARSHLAND!

Wow.

And I suppose it is a conspiracy against Obama to suggest that it is somehow normal to wipe one's hiney with the Constitution? Destruction of the 4th Amendment via the TSA is all made up? Or assassinations of American citizens without a trial? Indefinite detentions of American citizens with no trial? Are these things a part of the "Obama Haters'" imaginations?
How about the unprecedented billions being reaped off of middle class taxpayers by government contractors (ie "the 1%"). I'd also ask you to double check your facts concerning GM.

Look at the facts on his foreign policy, too. He has followed his predecessors' policy to the T. His Iraq policy was the exact same as Bush to the exact transition to zero date. His support of the corporatist's in power in Afghanistan betray his servitude to the same masters. He is following the exact same policies concerning forcing debt and the Western banking system on sovereign states that won't subject themselves.

I personally don't see how forcing government dependency on Americans and businesses is compassionate. it is creating slavery. An updated form of the feudal system. Obama is simply an extension of Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan.

Unfortunately, many Americans are just as blinded as you. Either that, or they welcome slavery and economic domination by the international elites.

I tried to read your entire thread but it was so full of inaccurate statements I could not finish. I credit you for stating up front that it was a long read and you did admit it was a rant.

However, you still might want to put down the kool aid and at least try to verify a few statements you make.

The statements you make about GM are laughable. If you want to see how this administration and the MSM that seems to love him distort facts, read the article I have linked below.

I could refute other statements but why bother, you don't seem to be the type that really wants to know.

Cheers for making your first thread.

It honestly doesn't really matter who the current President is. He's gonna have haters, and vigorous supporters. It happened with Clinton, both Bush's Reagan, Carter, Nixon...although not as many supporters at the time, Ford didn't get much of anything basically because all he did was fall out of an airplane and launch Chevy Chase's career. I don't remember Johnson personally, but he was hated on by lots of people from everything I've ever read and heard.

Its history that decides who the best Presidents are. And some you wouldn't suspect while still in office usually make the list. Like Clinton. Despite being one of only 2 presidents to be impeached, history is treating him a lot kinder. Carter it could be argued helped start the Arab world hate of America. He actually sent troops into Iran. But he did help broker some big deals for peace too.

And he has been the most active ex-President in recent history.

So rant all you want. Just don't political bait or troll. All Presidents...or elected officials for that matter will get very explicit hate, or tremendous support. I actually applaude you for sticking by your decision. I'd lay strong odds many of the most vocal haters now were all chanting "Yes we can!" Just 4 years ago.

The 111th Congress (2009/2010) had the opportunity to change all the problems.

They had control of committees in both the Senate and House.

They had Obama as POTUS.

They did not do much of anything positive for the majority of American citizens.
In fact most legislation was negative on most people.

Legislations were targeted to special groups and all the bureaucrats made millions of dollars.

Too many failed programs have put the citizens in debt beyond belief.
(failed for the citizens, not necessarily for the ones who heisted the money)

Can some one actually show some of the legislation and programs that had a lasting, positive impact on the majority of Americans ? Chickenfeed does not count.

OP I totally see what you are saying about AJ. Dont count him out though, he has been known to say something, look back about how it was wrong, and corrected himself.

I know exactly what you mean about him bad mouthing Obama. And I like Obama very much. If you notice he has shifted to the argument that OB is a puppet, which is the complete truth. I think he just needed time to center in on his idea about what he was trying to say. Any logical person knows the POTUS is a figurehead, and has been since JFK. SO to attack/blame him is just dumb anyway lol.

He moved outside of Austin because he was harassed. They pushed him and his family out. Thats why he owns that ranch now. And a 425hp sportscar costs less than a Toyota Camry these days (fact).

No one person is totally innocent of anything and im damn sure hes got mad skeletons, especially in such a controversial position.

I look at his progression to being well off (not rich) is a result of plugging along all these past 16 years, getting spit on, attacked, shut down, arrested, etc. The success did not come overnight. Hes reaping the rewards of difficult work that few would care to take on.

Having said that, I think the dudes got a good heart, and if he is doing anything wrong or hurting people, he eventually realizes it and corrects.

Also, his show is not about (for me at least) the actual issues, he tends to flip out about everything (which is cool to me though haha) and some of the bigger ideas stick. But the thing you dont realize is he is educating the audience on pattern recognition and giving listeners a lot of clues and such on how to pick up on the things around them. Thats way more important than the show iteself-in fact its what he promotes.

Thanks Strangedays. I have a love/dislike relationship with AJ
I feel like I know him because I've listened to him so long now.
And I haven't given up on him. I treat his info like UFO reports
I throw out 95% of his rants and review the 5% I think may hold
some truth. It's a weird position I find myself in these days.
After 14 years of listening to Alex and 20+ years being a libertarian
I find it's not as easy as some think to find the actual truth.
I do know that one side is too cozy with big oil and billionaires.

And things that are perceived as conspiracies like not going to the moon
are easily debunked by astute members like Phage or ProudBird .
People will post the movie" a funny thing happened on the way to
The Moon" and Phage will post the debunk showing exactly how the filmmaker
cut and edited the hell out of it to make it fit his story and still people don't think
we have been to the moon. So I learned it's even trickier than I thought this business
of conspiracies. And a lot of giveaway for me is how hard an agenda is being pushed.
And on this site ( absolutely no fault of ATS) the advertisers know most members
are wide open to any Obama conspiracy. Think about all that money they pay
to have all these "Obamas gonna get you " banners on ATS. there is an agenda at foot.
And like I said have you seen any anti Romney, Newt or any anti Rightwing politician
Ads? I haven't . Not on any site. Not even Huffington post. That's suspect to me.

And true thanks for taking the time to read my long ass thread.

The Dems had control of all the committees.

If Obama did not push what he wanted right away, when was he ?

And what was he holding back that would have been positive ?

The problems they solved were not for us, but they used up our money and are going to have us pay for it.
(The U.S. Treasury was looted)

The "bipartisan" excuse (one of many) was just a diversion.

The healthcare and general stimulus bills will not help the majority of citizens.
But the prices have gone up and will continue to make the intellectuals rich.

What legislation(s) that never happened would have impacted the majority of citizens in a positive way ?

Thank you for giving it a shot. I appreciate it.
I don't have a Koolaide problem haha.
I've been at this game a long time. I'm not an
easily swayed fawn in the woods. And you say the GM
statements are laughable? So they are not the #1
Carmaker in the world now? That's gonna scare the crap
out of their share holders. The only other statements are that
GM saved 140,000 of their own jobs and payed back every cent
of the bailout. This is fact. I dont know how else that info could be
misunderstood . A true thanks for taking time to read it though.
Oh and I checked out the reason.com article but they have
a giant big business capitalism agenda. So I'm not down with it.
The ideas originally for their website were libertarian, but GM being Union
is a typical target for the business is god crowd. same rhetoric over and over.
The market will correct itself. Except it doesn't . And I wasn't for bailouts, Bush
started all that. Obama gets labeled as the bailout guy but it was Georges' mess
I really do appreciate your input.
