Respect to them, theve got serious go nads lol

I respect their skills, but there is no courage in being a sniper IMO.

Snipers are a vital tool for various purposes including special missions and protecting fellow servicemen, but I don't agree with the concept. But most of you will call me a peace loving hippie for not being down with the war mongering.

I highly disagree with you. It takes courage to take up any role in the military.

Military men are perhaps the most ignorant breed of human I have ever come across, I just hope Ron Paul can bring them home so we can send them back to school.

All this debate over a flag? Sure, they probably weren't ignorant that the flag used to be a Nazi symbol, but I've seen the symbol used many places since to symbolize other things. Like in this case, 'Scout Sniper'. The Iron Cross was used by Nazis too, but I see it used for MANY things that have nothing to do with Nazis. The flag doesn't concern me, the leaders that sent them over there to protect corporate interests do....

Jeez. Everyone here is an armchair humanitarian/part-time clown. These people put their lives on the line for their country (and in some cases, believe they are.) Then we sit back and judge them for junk they put it in a picture. They could have made it a swastika for all I care, the last thing to care about when you're out at war is PC bs that is so rampant on our shores. Meh. Get over it people.

I am in reality... And I stand by my views, if military men were so smart then they wouldn't need to pick up a gun and kill people for money. They joined the military out of economic desperation.

I agree. These guys' main business is to kill the enemy. We spend all this time arguing over P.C. ways to blow limbs off of people. We should spend far more time putting the feet of the people who send them into war in the fire, to make sure they are only used when absolutely necessary.

This lightning bolt deal is old and nortic. Not saying these guys know that.

We have these bolts on heaters at work and they are not part of the funtion of the heater. The manufaturer put them on there. Thor. I know where there is an old grave in the US with a nortic bolt on it. Its old to man long before columbus.

Myself I would have went for a gopher in the cross hair deal. Or maybe a Bob Marley with a roll up in his mouth with a peace symbol not crosshairs. Or maybe the guy from Swamp People with "choot the gater!".

I joined because I wanted to. Could have wrestled in college, but I decided I was going to join the Marines and learn how to be a MAN instead of go to college and be a frat BOY.

I'm not trying to be rude, but what you're saying is just ignorant. I don't know anything about you, but I'm finding myself assuming that you've never been in the military. So I don't expect you to understand what the military teaches young boys and girls besides warfare. Many upstanding people in this country have come from military backgrounds. I'm just asking politely to put your hate aside and understand there is an unseen layer you don't know about. It's boring and people don't want to pay attention to it.

It doesn't take a lot of courage at a distance but things can go wrong, very wrong.

Well good for you I'm glad you joined out of choice because so many blacks and latinos join out of the sake of paying rent and eating day to day. And for you to say that you joined so you could learn how to be a "MAN" was probably due to your insecurites of fearing you'd never become one. I don't need a military establishment to teach me how to live like a man. And for you to claim men are only forged in the military is plain ignorant.

And you assume right, I've never been in the military but my father was a marine as was his. I broke that with me, and I don't mind you being rude it is your right to say whatever you want as is mine. For you to tell me to put my hate aside isn't true though. I am this way out of love for my fellow human not hatred for others.

We aren't the Army.

We don't get sent in unless something needs to be shot.

Thank you.
But we are fighting a useless war on here, civilians couldn't understand.

Ironically I've actually been considering joining the Marine Corps. A bit upset to see this sort of thing though ... I was attracted to them because of the image of eliteness and high standards. This is a bit of a let-down.

Don't let these guys form your opinion. The Marine Corps is an excellent branch of service. We hold more pride and tradition dear to us than other services. It is a brotherhood till death and I love every single Marine on the planet, even when they do dumb things. The Corps is hard but the experience you get is uncomparable to the other services. There are also many jobs that wouldn't put you out in combat as well.

Notice in todays world, the American helmet, looks alot like the old helmet, in the pic of the German.

It has been recognized as a superior helmet design.
Here are some NAZI/Zionist Chinese and Pakistanis

English

German

Guess the English were Nazis also........

How on earth did this get so many stars? The national socialist party didn't even exist in WW1 (or whatever 1914-1916) date is printed on that medal.

Proprietary designs of helmets are a little bit different, to be honest...

As evil as they were theres no denying that the SS troops were indeed badasses in the fullest sense of the word.

Rommel was no nazi and not affiliated with the SS - he was an old school soldier of the bavarian officer class - a group that Hitler and the nazi's despised , even at the height of the desert war many british soldiers in montys eighth army idolised Rommel and were in awe of him - to the point were monty had to issue orders to stamp it out.

Michael Wittman was an SS panzer commander but look at his record - he personifies the warrior spirit regardless of what era or ideology you compare him to.

its possible to admire certain aspects of the SS without agreeing with thier ideology or forgetting that many of them were monsters in human form - maybe its that warrior spirit the marines were trying to tap into when they displayed that flag and nothing political at all.

As I said in an earlier post, be sure to differentiate the Waffen-SS from the Allgemeine SS and the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), all of which were SS formations.

However, although the sacrifice of SS front-line units was quite impressive (they achieved their goals, certainly, but also killed of a substantial portion of their troops in doing so. The war in the East almost depleted the Waffen SS of men to the point where service in the Waffen SS had literally killed almost all of the men in Germany who were not already in the other forces and eligible to serve - they had to cut their 'standards' and started to accept all manner of people to bolster front line units which were decimated in massive numbers), one has to question whether they were actually very 'good', because I think the Army that might not win as many decisive victories but which still has living soldiers at the end of the battle is probably the 'better' fighter, over the long-run.

The swastika was also a buddhist symbol before the nazis used it. So, using your logic, buddhists are nazis and jew killers. Get a grip.

this isn't the first time someone has stated this.

The symbol was altered by Hitler/Nazi's.

I hate people who use the word 'logic' and yet remain clearly ignorant of its meaning

Unless you HAVE to join to get some quick cash I suggest you just stay home and make a career for yourself don't listen to anyone who is in the military they just want more body bags so they don't have to go out and get killed themselves.

When did you come across these military men? When you were going door to door selling CutCo. Boy the intellectual pre-qualifications for that position must have been pretty stiff.

My facts are correct, this person sitting back making blanket statements about all military men's intelligence is an entry level door to door salesman. Check out his own thread. Do you realize how many people have been killed by Cutco knives!
