Not new by choice - thisguyrighthere

So.....

Went to log in and couldnt.

Went in for a password reset and couldnt.

Tried to make a new account with my email and the system said email was in use.

So I made up this account to see WTF is going on.

This would be the second time in as many years that the perfection of computers screwed my account here.

5 years, little gold border, #30 something all-time.... all gone.

Also had these issues myself this morning. I finally was able to get a password emailed and reset my account back on track

best of luck... and if all else fails, welcome back to ATS

contact a mod via the complaints button they will sort it out for you and keep your email up to date then you wont have probs resetting your password. I has to reset mine too. It has happened to a lot of peeps I think.

i live alone,so i have the luxery of staying logged in 24/7.
(no im not here all that time!) i've never had this problem. plus i have so many damn passwords for everything i'ts immposible to remember them all!

I figured my email must be up to date since when I tried to use it for this puppet account I got a message "email in use my another member."

Between my office comp and my mobile I'm also logged in 24/7. I went to check m.ats this morning and the little "login" option threw me off since I hadnt seen it in months.

Ive got exactly same problem,i cant get into my old account.
Thing is i cant remember the e-mail address i used to create the account due to it been a long time ago that i used it and only used it for this site so never went into it because ATS sent me all the info i needed straight to here anyways.
I have sent them an e-mail explaining whats happening so hopefully get a reply soon,i think they should be able to tell by the IP address of both these accounts wont they?

I haven't had any trouble (knock on wood) but it seems to be happening to a lot of members!

There are a few mods online now. If you go to the forums page and scroll to the bottom you will see all the users logged in. The mods are the ones bolded. They try to be sneaky, ya gotta know where to look.

Benevolent Heretic here. I had the same thing this morning. Sent in a complaint form, so I expect to be hearing something at some point. I'm sure the staff is overwhelmed with whatever happened overnight, but they're aware of it and working their little butts off, I'm sure.
