Earthquake Rumbles Just Moments After Okla. 'Shake Out'

www.koco.com
OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 3.1-magnitude earthquake shook central Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, just 15 minutes after an event meant to help Oklahomans and residents across the United States be prepared in the event of a big temblor.

The quake was centered 6 miles south of Paden, 7 miles southwest of Boley, 7 miles northwest of Cromwell and 55 miles east of Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma had 90 quakes in the last 6 months...

folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu...

That works out to be about 1 quake every 2 days.

edit on 7/2/12 by Chadwickus because: (no reason given)

True Chad, but as another poster pointed out...How often do they have big quake drills?

And then, how often does a decent sized tremor happen right after the drill?

Be difficult to feel a 3.1 quake.

Anything under 4 is insignificant, especially 55 miles away from the epicenter

Have you looked into the HAARP conspiracies? They show up a week or 2 before a disaster happens and if they are just observing then why dont they warn us? HAARP has deffinatly been behind more than a few disasters if you ask me.

I did - the odds of having an earthquake within 15 minutes of ANY GIVEN EVENT are about 1:340.

If Chadwickus' figures are correct at 1 every 2 days then it comes down to about 1 in 200.
