Looking at many of the posts in this forum its quite clear that people are easily tricked to believe everything they hear. Socialism is not bad. Capitalism is Darwinism feeding from the poor and middle class and giving huge tax breaks to the rich. Now wonder the country is in tremendous debt. As soon as there is some program for the lower class society there is a huge uproar about how its a strain on the economy. The Catholic CHurch cannot control what individuals do in a democracy. Healthcare is good for all people.

Many people also forget that the reason they voted for Obama was because he did not accept donations from special interest groups. Keyword "special interests" meaning they had there own agenda. AKA Catholic Church. How can the catholic church speak for catholic individuals and tell who they will vote for? The catholic church is not poor but i bet some catholics are and would have no problem voting for Obamacare.

Everyday i get tired of politicians and the general media that is controlled by that same upper echeloen society, telling people what they should believe. People should step outside themselves, think for a minute and come to there own conclusions. The way this country is going is not the way it should. So obviouly someone with at least average intelligents that traditional methods are either not working or causing the problem. Then through simple analysis you see that its the institution and politics thats really the problem.

As soon as the Catholic Church stops attempting to deal with its pedophiles on its own (letting them get away with it)...

THEN they can start complaining about legislation

Until then they're no different from any other criminal organization who believes it is above the law

One of the things that no one seems to have brought up is that the First Amendment does not necessarily apply here. This would not be the first time that the Government curbed in the interest of the public good. Just ask any Mormon that can't legally marry more than one woman. Or the Rastafarian's that aren't allowed to smoke weed on religious grounds. Granted it is a slippery slope and we are on questionable ground with this one. Thankfully these situations only arise every hundred years or so. Perhaps it would have been easier if it had been mandated that insurance companies be required to offer these things in every plan available.

I have brought up the fact that the 1st Amendment doesn't apply but they live in an impenetrable bubble and refuse to accept the facts for what they are. Instead, they continually try to read things into the document that aren't there. It's as if they just don't understand the english language.

On the other hand, your suggestion to make all insurance policies cover contraceptives is a good one, but according to those Catholic defenders here on ATS, the church would just opt out of providing insurance altogether if that were the case. Remind you of anyone? Sounds like the same old "It's my way or the highway" mentality currently being propagated by the neo-cons in Congress.

"FIRST AMENDMENT

AMENDMENT I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
I want to point this out as a power trip by the POTUS cause it reads like this "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" but makes no mention of Obama doing it so it is legit.?...

What if you are from a different religion that does not share that belief?

If you are a Hindu for example? Does it still apply?

I believe the term "you reap what you sew" is applied to every person on the planet. Doesn't matter if youre from a different religion, isn't going to stop it from coming back on you.

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

In other words if they didn't want to get pregnant they shouldn't have done the deed. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

They wouldn't have to worry if they obeyed the Lord in the first place, instead of doing things their way, the way of the world which is the way of Satan.

If you sew disobedience you reap disaster.

I think Obama & Co. are in a quagmire with this issue.

It may be possible that a waiver could be applied for and granted.

It a waiver is granted, we could actually see more people being waived than participating.

Then where does the universal utopia stand THEN ?

I think Obama & Co. are in a quagmire with this issue.

You're Right they may be in a Quagmire as you put it,,,, So, The Obama administration as called out their Catholic,,,,,,,, N. Pelosi,,,,,,,and she has this to say:

Nancy Pelosi: "98 percent of Catholic women, I am told by all of you, use birth control to determine the size and timing of their families. So again its a women's health issue."

Yes, It's True,,,

During a weekly briefing on congressional issues, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made a startling claim about Catholic women's usage of birth control, stating that "98 Percent of Catholic women"..."Use Birth Control"

nation.foxnews.com...

Obama and Pelosi Knows What's Best For You,,,,, Remember, Obama-Care,, Is All You Need.

Listen to her at the 3 minute mark,,, I Know, I Know,,,It'll Be Hard

If you want to know why they want Catholic Churches, or any Sunday, not true Sabbath worshipping Church, to be handing out condoms, it's because they want to you de-sensitized for when the antichrist gets here, and the mark of the beast is handed out in the Sunday Churches. This is the big secret, that the Mark of The Beast will be handed out in the Sunday Churches. And this counterfeit-messiah GQ poster boy is gonna show up and gonna go by the non-Hebrew, but Greek world-reknown named " Jesus" of the Messiah.

- something like that is my understanding.

The true Sabbath is Friday sunset to Saturday Sunset. The Jews follow the right sabbath. The Catholic Church changed it to Sunday.

You see, I use this Ring Maiden now, even without her glorified body, as a voice that cries out the warning ahead of time. For I have called her to be a prophet to the nations.[color=palevioletred]Do not take the Mark of the Beast! Sunday worship and the Mark of the Beast are connected. Beware, you will lose your soul if you observe the Sunday worship law during the Great Tribulation. I will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah which I destroyed with fire and brimstone if I allow these earthly abominations to continue much longer the way it is. I will not apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. I will eradicate and terminate all that I, YAHUVEH, despise.

from the fox article

It remains unclear at this moment where exactly the Minority Leader is obtaining her statistics.

Nancy Pelosi:
"98 percent of Catholic women, I am told by all of you, use birth control to determine the size and timing of their families. So again its a women's health issue."

Not unusual for Nancy to make blanket statements.

She is a legion for the "party of hope".

I think the time has come to read the US Constitution out loud again on the

floor of the House of Representatives.
