Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned an agreement between the two Palestinian factions of Hamas and Fatah to form a unity government.

The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas agreed on Monday to a proposal by Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to form a Palestinian unity government with Fatah.

According to the agreement, acting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be the head of the interim national consensus government, which will end a long-running disagreement that had stalled Palestinian reconciliation.

Netanyahu on Tuesday denounced the unity pact between the two Palestinian factions as "a mortal blow to peace and a great victory for terrorism."

The Israeli premier said that if Abbas implements the agreement, "he chooses to abandon the path of peace and join himself to Hamas".

Hamas and Fatah have agreed to hold a meeting with “all other Palestinian political factions” in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on February 18, to “set the date for the parliamentary and presidential elections.”

PressTV

Zionism doesn't legitimate Palestinian government , so what these people are doing as negotiation is to show the whole world that Israel is not a regime of talk and Israel is made of Oppression and Occupation.

peace.

I fail to see how this statement makes any sense apart from the fact that Israel now has a more unified force to encounter on it's takeover, am I missing something?

We all know Netanyahu has ALWAYS refused to negotiate with Hamas, as it has always been considered a terrorist organization that is primarily responsible for shooting the rockets across the border.

Trying to place Hamas and Fatah together is like trying to combine Shiites and Sunnis. They can fake unity for only a short time before all hell breaks loose and they turn on each other....AGAIN. They can't even keep peace between each other, so trying to combine the two to negotiate peace with Israel is a total joke and Netanyahu knows it.

So, what is Netanyahu's plan for the Kurdish states of Iraq?

Tell Ahmadinejad we're already aware of his plans for Iraq and he should reconsider his plans as well.
