If a Ninja approach silently on you, with his/her mind empty and focused in the Chi, you won't even know what hit you.

I think you are referring to something in Chinese martial arts. Unless of course you can source somewhere where a Ninjitsu student uses "Chi".

The word "Chi" is Chinese but the concept is Asian. In case you don't know the knowledge of inner power, inner energy flowing is the same in all Asian cultures, regardless the martial art in discussion.

You watch waaaay too many movies buddy...

Sorry to tell you that, and Ninjutsu is a LOOONG way off from what it use to be back in feudal japan...

You assume waaaaay too much "buddy" and you know sh*t about me!

This has nothing to do with movies. I practiced Yoga many years and Ninjas use its techniques in order to obtain full control of the mind. It's not just about the fight. The state of mind of a real Ninja, Shaolin or any other master of Asian martial arts, is not the same state of mind of ordinary people, SPECIALLY Western people.
Regardless we're living in modern times, practices of spiritual discipline are timeless. YES, Shaolin and Ninja masters CAN approach anyone silently, lethally and unnoticed, regardless if the opponent is an armed soldier.

Greetings, OP. While I love the idea of Iranian women being trained in any, ANY sort of martial art, the question is this: what is to stop them from applying said training to the pinheaded males who constantly disrespect them? I'd love to see a male get his rear kicked in public for mouthing off to an otherwise quiet, unassuming girl going about her own business. Lets keep in mind, in Iran as well as some other countries its nearly a sport to squirt highly damaging acid into the faces of women who have refused the advances of a man. I think that the proper reply would be an equally damaging and painful response in the form of a Ninjutsu a$$ whipping in front of Allah and everybody else. Good show.

You're right about Iran. I never been but I have friends of friends that have. And they say it's a pretty normal, peaceful people. Propaganda is a big part of news in north America,

I just stumbled with this article reporting that currently there are 3,500 women in Iran, with high-rank training in Ninjutsu, the ancient Japanese martial art of Ninja warriors:

Now that's something huge!! How come 3,500 women are trained Ninjas in a Muslim country?? I couldn't even think about 3, let alone 3,500...
And make no mistake: Those women in the video totally move like ninjas. Very impressive!

Well, let's be honest here. There are NO ninja any more - they died out a long time ago. There are some true practitioners of the art(s) but no real ninja so I wouldn't say they "totally move like ninjas (sic)". They move how "Hollywood" tells you ninja should move.

And also - that video is pure choreographed nonsense - just like any other marketing device used by [insert generic martial art here]. It doesn't mean any of them are any good. Katas and staged maneuvers are great for show - but do little in real combat. A real fight is very disorganised, very chaotic and random. I highly doubt these 3500 "ninja" women are anywhere near the level of Masaaki Hatsumi or any of his disciples.

Moral of the story...Iran just decided guns were outdated. It's going to take women's rights activists and give them ninja training for ultimate fighting power.

But seriously...if we had less cops and more Ninjutsu specialists, crime rates would go way down. No one wants to fight a ninja.

I seem to remember Sho Kashugi [80's ninja flik supremo] performing a meditation hand kata that signified the 5 Chi elements.

Think it was called The Godai or Godin or something. A flashback to friday nights down the video shop to grab the weekends rentals lol.

The more I see of this unique and diverse country, the more I like it. I wonder if American tourists are welcome there?

Mr. Norris (you don't use his first name unless he gives you permission) would handcuff both arms and his weak leg to a concrete pillar and get ready for a light workout.

That is pretty epic indeed!

I was reminded of this little comic when I saw the video.

Scandinavia and the World

Pretty appropriate, methinks.

Yeah, so "WHEN" we invade Iran and our troops are patrolling the streets every group of burka wearing women
(or men in disguise) could be a trained Ninjitsu death squad. US troops better be on their toes.

How many troopers would succumb to "Hey GI Joe, Yu want some fun for twenty dollar."

It's just going to be a war full of surprises.

First off, Yoga is NOTHING like Ninjutsu, its not even from the same country.......

2.Traditional Ninjutsu does NOT use Yoga......

3. The state of mind of anyone in the marital arts isnt unique to people who practice ninjutsu......especially these days.

4.Shaolin is Chinese, Ninjutsu is Japanese.........

5. The idea that because someoen practices ninjutsu they are some super warrior who can destroy special forces soldiers , is the most idiotic line of thought i have ever seen.......

6. Ive practiced martial arts since before i was even a teenager, and am also a former enlisted Marine.........DONT try to presume to tell me ANYTHING about EITHER.......when you clearly have no idea what you are talking about

While i think this is FANTASTIC for the Iranian women, and people anywhere to get involved in....

This isnt Anime or some Jackie Chan movie, its real life

I've seen more impressive moves from my 10 year old cousin.

P.S- Ninjutsu isn't real. Hollywood made it up.

Chi is universal. All aspects of martial arts refer to it one way or another. I believe in the Japanese martial arts, it is broken into 5 different elements: Tsuchi(earth) Sui (water) Ka (fire) Fu (wind) and Ku (void). I don't know what the hell void is but then again I don't study ninjutsu.

And I don't think he meant using Chi as a physical ability but rather, the ninja controlling his footsteps and breathing to be as silent and lethal as possible. How does using this Japanese chi affect such actions? No clue, maybe I should take a class or something.

There is an art called Reiki, which is used in the same way the Chinese uses it. Although Chi derives from the martial art Tai'chi or Qi' Gong, it can also be used as a Reiki style of healing or enhancement.

I know this because I train in Qi' Gong for my roots stem from China.

More folks trying hard to appear authoritative when they obviously have aboslutely no clue of what they are trying to be authoritative about. please.... Give us a break!!!!!!!

I once got drunk in Korea I got into a fight with a South Korean Paratrooper he kicked me so fast I didn't see him move.As an American however I have been hit in the face a few times so I planted a well aimed haymaker and dropped him quickly.I then told him in broken Korean he should never attack an American alone.
I wish I could apologize to the guy but Ginroh Soju (A liquor)makes a person do..aggressive things. My point is unless you are a master or born into the art it will not work on a battlefield against a soldier.Especially a repressed female culture.
And their technique is poor not even theatrically effective much less in a ring.
