Although not a hot news topic, one of the more interesting items to catch my eye today is this story about Santorum being kept off the ballot in Indiana by 25 votes in one county

According to the article

Statewide candidates in Indiana, from president to governor, all have to collect 500 valid signatures from registered voters in each of the state's nine congressional districts to appear on the May 8 ballot.

Marion County officials decided last week that Santorum was 24 votes shy of the 500 needed in the state's 7th District.

He showed up with 49 signatures today, but the election official really doesn't seem to be cooperative. There's discrepancies between the addresses given by the signatures and the addresses on the county files. Other news sources make it appear as though the officials aren't that interested in finding out if the signatures are good or not.
