It was pretty decent, in my opinion. I read the book also. I am under the impression a nuclear war did the world in.

I have not read the book.I was personally disappointed with the movie but maybe I expect too much from films nowadays. From all the blockbusters which I saw last year I only liked 2.Rise of the apes and battle L.A but even the latter left me wanting a better ending.I give the road 2 out of 5.

For me, the Road was a terrifying movie.

Any time there are cannibal rednecks hoarding human beings like cattle in a basement it's going to give me the heebie jeebies.

The fires, the ash, I think I remember something from the beginning of the book about a war. I could be mistaken but that was just my impression.
