My Wife and I write and record our own music.
We have a little setup to record and produce.
Our love for music was one of the driving forces to starting our relationship.
So music has been a very important part of our relationship/marriage!

Its been our passion our drive to finish an album.

Well we got it all wrote and several songs recorded!

Gonna record more in the future!

The song above is kinda heavy... but not extreme.

Its very doomy and gothic/melodic sounding.

Tell me what ya think!

and yeah... the production work isnt the best... my studio might as well be from the 1940's
but it serves for creating demos not full blown studio polishing

i gonna give you an all out critique, dont hate me.

well written, its good youre not referring to a standard structure of songwriting.
with that being said, you need to spend a lot more time mixing the final product.
drums are played well but are too loud or too soft in parts, the bell from the cymbal need toning down, same goes for the guitar track.
when the heavy guitar kicks in everything sounds a bit too muddy, drums again are lost in the mix.
vocals are nice at the begining need work to bring them out to the front, and at the end the vocals are too loud.

sorry if this is too hash, as i said nice work, i wouldnt change anything except the mixing. and maybe the sound of the distorted guitar.

i understand its not easy mixing this music with so many different elements to it, i was in a heavy band for many years.

Thanks for commenting...

I got 10 bucks in my studio

and the production software is about as primitive as you can get.

Gonna upgrade that one day...

So the production work isnt the best...

But i work with what I got...

Not bad from someone who doesnt know how to play guitar or drums
isnt musically trained to any degree or have any production education huh?

coughbuzzkillcough haha

I'm gonna star your post for your honest opinion.

(But in reality your just jealous you didnt write it haha
kiddin)

I was a vocalist for years
that band broke up and I couldnt find anyone to play with.
So I got me a guitar, couldnt play it at all.
and just went with it lol

same with drums

Get a demo version of FL Studio and bury your head in that for a few decades (I kid) to learn the tricks to decent mixing, and then find an open source alternative (or alternatively... ahem).. and you can control your mixing to a very nice degree.

I only reinstalled FL Studio last night ha, couldn't sleep, had music in my head, but as I rarely use it, I always have to refresh myself, and the music I heard slipped away

trick is to sticking at the software to really get to know what you can do with it, and then no matter what you record with as long as it's good, you can affect it in so many ways to really give it life.

google fl studio to see some of the amazing work done with it - try looking for real guitarists/drummers as a lot of basshunter clones exist.. and ... blehh, my skin just crawled into a dark corner!!!

lol, oh yeah I've dreamed of that for a long time now

to have that "full bodied" sound would be awesome!

I got FL studio but me and that program disagree
on actual track mixing
I use it for my synth/midi rendering though and port that track over to a very old version of Adobe audition
unless my Wife uses an actual keyboard.

Now that I am off of dial up... I can get some good stuff to record with

WOW....you did that with "primitive"equipment?
I see real potential there...the concept of the song is great....I like the dark gothic brooding sound of it. Actually, the last part reminds me of Rammstein (who I LOVE) Keep at it bro....and tell your wife I love her voice.
Thanks for sharing and I hope to see more!

Thanks!
My wife said thanks!

Rammstein is one of my inspirations and top picks for favorite bands

Hypocrisy, Dimmu Borgir, Type O Negative, Pain, and Rammstein are essential bands to my listening pleasure and inspiration

Feuer Frei! I love that song...

Sometimes when alone... I jam along with it playing guitar headband pretending flames are shooting all around me... on one instance I taped a roman candle to the headstock of my guitar haha

I knew it....I could hear that influence there. I like to blast some Rammstien when I'm working out or cleaning the house...it gets your blood pumping
I first heard them when my cousin who lives in GHermany sent me a CD and I was hooked. I hope you'll post more....it's off to work for me, but I;ll check to see if you have any new stuff.....
