I want to post a video of two children who were shot by syrian soldiers (one got his jaw blown off and one is missing a leg), but I'm not sure if it's allowed. I think it's important for people to see this even if it very disturbing. I think that before we make desicions about the situation in syria we need to actually witness the horrors that are taking place there. Of course if I am allowed to post it then I will provide a warning for anyone who doesn't want to see that kind of thing.

Correct. The video would be removed at a minimum.

I was told by a super moderator that if I posted it the video may be subject to removal, but I won't be banned.

Ordinarily, that would be true if someone just inadvertently does something without being aware it's a violation. In this case,

21b) Cooperation: You will, if asked by TAN, cease to Post any content, and/or links to content, deemed offensive, objectionable, or in poor taste by TAN, in its sole discretion.

If you're told something is a violation in advance (gore) and post it anyway, I can virtually guarantee a post ban, at minimum.

You won't be banned outright for posting graphic content, unless the intent was to circumvent the Terms & Conditions after being told not to post, or having the link/video removed.

ATS is a family friendly website and graphic content does not fit that mold for what we are trying to present on the boards. Certainly some exceptions ( depending on how graphic the content is) have been made in the past, but they are vew few and far between.

Please contact staff prior to posting any such material so it may be vetted and approved, or denied. This will prevent any problem regarding breaking the T&C.

Besides T&C rules, how would the images make people feel?
There have been some videos and pictures that have caused me
to lose sleep over.

I can think of one in particular that wasn't graphic but quite horrifying of a teenaged girl being stoned by a crowd. It disturbed me quite a bit and was nearly an hour before I could type a reply that was not just pure reactionary hate of those that participated and simply stood by to watch.

I still think of that girl sometimes.
