This is the ship that was boarded by Israel some time ago.

This report says the ship has unloaded those controversial medical supplies.

Finally !!

The Israeli article cites a Kuwaiti source who cites a Turkish source.

No "western" sources at this time (yet).

Twenty months after the Mavi Marmara incident, a Turkish ship carrying medical aid for Gaza has arrived at Ashdod Port in Israel. Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reports that Turkish Deputy Premier Bekir Bozdag confirmed this news Saturday.

The ship will unload its cargo at Ashdod, and Israel will then transfer the supplies into Gaza.

Bozdag was quoted by Turkish daily, Zaman, as saying that "innocent civilians not only die by shelling but can be killed by the strict siege they are being held under, which prevents the entry of food, medicine and other basic needs."

He said Turkey had submitted a request to the Israeli Defense Ministry, to allow safe passage for the aid ship in October last year.

Here is an old article from May 2010.

Haaretz
Israel on Thursday said a flotilla of activist aid boats bound for Gaza was an "outright provocation," saying however that the organizers of the aid convoy were invited to unload their cargo at the Israeli port of Ashdod, where it would be transferred to Gaza following an inspection.

The "Freedom Flotilla" consists of nine ships loaded with 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid and building materials, all headed toward Gaza in defiance of a three-year Israeli closure on the territory, home to 1.5 million Palestinians.

Am I in a time warp here ?

Lots of this kind of reporting lately.

2012. All the journalists who know things ditch the planet.
By the way, INN is not a very good news source anyway, 2012 or not. It is pretty biased.

Yep, and they are clever in every sense of the word.

You would think they would at least mention the name of the "new" ship that unloaded.

And we would think that the Palestinians would be happy, and that the "West" would be applauding this "event".

People skim-read these things and get the wrong message.

They are professional and clever at the same time .... a dangerous combination.
