If you're a fan of drinking a fine scotch, which do you prefer? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

This year for Christmas I was gifted a 21 year old bottle of Dewar's Aberfeldy. It is amazing. I was a big fan of the Dewar's single malt 12 year old scotch but the 21 takes the cake! It has such a smooth flavor, enriched with vanilla and honey, it goes down so easily. Kinda expensive, I think this bottle was approximately $100. But well worth every penny and drop. I'm depressed as only about 1/3 of the bottle remains.

I'm also a big fan of the Maccallan 12 year as well.

Aberfeldy 21

I really enjoyed the Glenfiddich 12 but didn't care much for the 18. I was surprised. Great scotch regardless!

I have never heard of that. Unfortunately the fine scotches are priced so that they are seldom pleasures...but still enjoyable nonetheless!

I always used to buy Ballantines (regular, not 12 or 18 years). If its good enough for royalty then I guess it might be okay for me to drink. Its been a while though due to the price.

ETA Just noticed you meant fine Scotches. I've had a few 12 year old single malts over the years. Can't remember a single name of one of them though.
I used to buy whatever the airport had for 40 quid a bottle I guess. They went down nice enough although sometimes a little too quickly.

Dear Cosmic911,

While I rarely drink scotch anymore, when I did I found Talisker Single Malt Scotch to the best. Very smooth; but, it is definitely for sipping. Peace.

Scotch Tape, I really like the new one that looks totally invisible on wrapping paper. Yep, that's my favorite.

For me its Laphroaig.

People either love it or hate it. With two lumps of ice, nothing I have tried has come close to it so far.

Did you know you can use Scotch Tape to make Graphene?

Amazing stuff!

... but I still like Butterscotch more.

It is very nice.
I feel a bit stupid listing two of the most mainstream brands tho.. Some of the nicest scotch I have had are small and virtually unknown brands, but for that reason and being drunk I don’t remember their names.
At the end of the day.. Having the same brand every time sucks tho and its always good to try something new as often as possible

Please forgive the politically incorrect comment, but they're like women. They're all wonderful and you've gotta love the one your with.

I currently have Glenmorangie and Macallan on the shelf.
