yes that is what is so scary about this situation. i do not believe you can just fly into iran and drop nukes an not expect the same to be done right back, except by missile. and i believe everyone in the m.e. will try to take as many with them as possible. there is no good final outcome. just dont see it. this is all gonna end badly, unless they can all just shut up.

Cool story!, try explaining that story to an iraqi kid whos probably 7 years old, lost a few limbs and most of his family, im sure he will understand it was justified, and iraq is now a better place, and if you have time maybe the other 1 million iraqis in the same situation....that is if you can spare a few moments from your day?

People you would be surprised how easy is to obtain weapons grade plutonium if you already have nuclear reactors. First you need to oxidize plutonium to PuF6 and then distill the mixture in fractionation column. After this process you have to place the product into centrifuge, take the pure PuF6 out of centrifuge and use cesium to form CsF and voila you have weapons grade plutonium, free of other unwanted residue. It's even simpler with uranium, as you don't need nuclear reactor.
So if Iran really wants to have a nuclear warhead they will just already get it.

The US has lots of oil. It has a Northern trading partner with vast oil reserves, and even vaster unproven reserves.

I'm in Canada. Let me clarify something for you.

The left wing in Canada doesn't like the US. Most of the center and right have some specific problems with our big trading partner and their tariffs. The religious right in the US doesn't sit real well in most Canadian's bellies.

I don't really care what happens over there. I just don't want to be involved. But I will express my opinion in that Israel is the most technologically advanced nation in the middle east an has the strongest military, tested and true.

Please clarify the above statements and explain how its not calling for the removal of Israel from the face of the Earth. Ahmadenijads words to me seem self evident in that is exactly what he is calling / pushing for. The Ayatollah just backed Ahmadenijad up with his own comment of removing Israel.

England willingly backed from its empire when it became unsustainable. A wise choice. The English Empire still exists because the common wealth still operates. The common wealth is the empire made democratic.

The Roman Empire never ended. What happened was a redistribution of powers. The Roman Empire is alive and strong in what we today call the European Union. In many ways every war between the end of the Republic of Rome to the modern age can be classified as a very long Roman Civil War, if you are willing to view it that way.


The Mongolians never really ended. A single man with power and forces from Mongolia conquered, but Mongolia still exists, and what remains is now broken into many other nations. Iran? Turkey? Russia? All of these are the remains of the Mongolian Empire. It was divided up between heirs and continued to exist as a broken coalition, eventually becoming independent nations.

Some empires do collapse. China is filled with these. Japan too. The Russian Empire can be said to collapse because every piece of its existence was consumed and dissolved. But not every empire collapses. Sometimes they simply reform into something else entirely.
