Disclaimer: This is a rather right-brained post, if any of it seems random or incoherent... Well, I hope you can get over it. (:

Until quite recently I was on the fence about "ascension" type beliefs and that anything significant would happen this year spiritually.

In the past week or so, however (oddly enough corresponding with the solar activity) I have been getting what I would call "insights" like no OTHER. I keep having these 'revelations' of sorts where I feel like I'm beginning to understand SO much about how our reality works.. There have been sudden insights about "illuminati", evolution, energy, reality, the universe, religion, etc, etc.. and today it really came together when I watched the following video..

I bawled during almost the entire thing, realizing that the way I've been seeing things was all wrong! I keep trying to come up with solutions that FIT the current paradigm (best example: Ron Paul 4 Prez) rather than just forgetting about it all together! THERE ARE NO RULES. << Probably the most important thing I have learned.

Most people like myself &others here at ATS are still living in fear without even realizing it. We will say all kinds of things about the establishment & TPTB here online.. but in the real world? NOT SO MUCH! We still go to our jobs that support THEM, we still go to class, we still follow the laws, etc, etc, when it is all just an illusion! I have read the "illusion" bit SO MANY times but it never has had the impact that it does now. I hope that even one more person can be 'enlightened' in the way I have today either through the video above, or through some of the following articles/quotes I will post..

I want this thread to be full of enlightening videos/stories/quotes/music for others to go through & hopefully come to similar conclusions as my own, similar because we are all unique and if we all thought the EXACT same way about everything the world would be rather un-interesting & there would be no room for growth.

Anyway, for your enjoyment/entertainment/enlightenment/whateverelse, here are some hashtags/articles/videos/quotes...

Bridging Worlds

"'That's just the way it is' might be one of the most soul-defying phrases in the human lexicon.

Contrast this with the OWS slogan, 'The beginning is near.' Hold both sentiments in your mind and discover which one allows your own heart to beat in sync with the heart of the world, and which will grant the imagination and stamina required to remake the world anew."

A Crazy Little Thing Called...

#OpWomanPower

"Fundamental changes in society are sometimes labeled impractical or contrary to human nature: as if nuclear war were practical or as if there were only one human nature. But fundamental changes can clearly be made. We are surrounded by them.

In the last two centuries abject slavery, which was with us for thousands of years, has almost entirely been eliminated in a stirring world wide revolution. Women, systematically mistreated for millennia, are gradually gaining the political and economic power traditionally denied to them. And some wars of aggression have recently been stopped or curtailed because of a revulsion felt by the people in the aggressor nations. The old appeals to racial, sexual and religious chauvinism and to rabid nationalism are beginning not to work. A new consciousness is developing which sees the earth as a single organism and recognizes that an organism at war with itself is doomed. We are one planet."

Congrats. You've crawled out of Plato's cave, which in my opinion is the start of a never-ending journey of answer seeking.

Now's the time to explore! Learn and to become a philosopher. To start, I would suggest reading some philosophy, as there's not too much one can learn from a 15 minute video. Reading the Ancient classics such as Plato and Aristotle is a good place to start. Reading philosophy helps hone your logic and reason. Even if you don't agree with the authors philosophy, there is still so much you can take away.

Eventually you'll reach more modern philosophies; you'll dismantle God into a particle with Spinoza; you'll become Dionysus through Nietzsche; you'll feel nausea through Sartre; you'll explore metaphysics with Kant and Hume; you'll discuss politics with Machiavelli and Marx; you'll ponder thought with Descartes.

Eventually you gain the skill of "System Destroying"; being able to critically look at a system, tear it apart and destroy it using nothing but logic and reason. But all is not destroyed, the building material still remains, and you will create a system of your own, for you alone. You become dangerous.

Maybe one day you'll return to the cave to help others escape, or maybe the cave dwellers will not be ready ,and you'll become a martyr for you philosophy.

Sounds like fun, (:

I learned about a few of those guys in an Ethics class I took (Kant is one I remember.)

And I think I actually have some of Plato's work bookmarked somewhere, thanks for the advice/info.
