What state are you in? Here in Nevada where we're having the caucus tomorrow, I am getting emails and paper mail from his campaign frequently... Though I have yet to see one of his ads on TV. I have seen Santorum and Romney ads (very dull and lame I must say), however.

Ron Paul never intended to win, secretly.

That much, I know.

I wouldn't exactly say giving up. I don't think Paul ever had the plan of winning the election, I think he was aware of his chances. Possibly his position in Iowa and New Hampshire may have been good opportunities, but long term I think he understood that this was going to be a delegate collecting game. By the looks of it though it may not work well for him either way. I posted a thread ealier stating that Paul may very well have a chance to actually win Nevada, if so it would be the first state he's ever won over his history of presidential races. But looking at the polls now, Romney looks too far ahead.

Paul needs to demonstrate that he can win States, but this is becoming less and less of a reality.

He might, if he hooked up with the right VP, or even Presidential, candidate. He is, undeniably, popular, and would lend a great deal of aid to a ticket...

I've made no secret of the fact that something about the man bugs me... I've never been able to wrap myself around just what it is, either...

The cold hard reality of it is, he never had a chance, and I think he knew that from the get go. He ought to continue his work in Congress, and forget the whole Presidential thing.

Ron Paul himself can only do so much. He needs the backing of the voters. But most of them are to lazy to think for themselves and let the good old TV dictate them who to vote for.

As long as they chant "USA USA", everything is just dandy. Patriotic my a$$

He's hanging around to split the republican vote so Romney will get the nomination, then he will join forces with Romney so he can get a position in the Romney administration.

Personally, I would love to see RP as Sec of Treasury!

If you think any Ron Paul supporters or Ron Paul himself would join forces with Romney you're delusional.

I don't care how many posts you make 'linking' them.

If Ron Paul nonsense didn't clutter up the forums, it would be easier to ignore.

What kind of disinformation is this? are you saying Ron Paul giving up secretly? no he isn't.
In fact

"We have more IDs than Romney had votes in '08," said Paul's state chairman, Carl Bunce, meaning identified supporters who have committed to attend Saturday's caucuses across the state. He wouldn't give a precise number, but Romney's 2008 vote total in his big Nevada win was 22,649.
