in the comments section, one person says Mornington peninsula, dunno where they got their info from though, i'm curious as to the date it was filmed.. ie was it caused by the recent CME last week?

That is Awesome!! HD Time lapse makes the best videos ever. I love the Planet Earth series and Life the time lapse of plants, flowers, animal migrations, ect.. it's amazing! Thanks for sharing!

It says it was filmed feb 1, so yesterday. I would say it would be a little late but I don't know for sure, if the aurora from the solar flare lingered for a few extra days after the solar flare hit Earth then it's possible but it might just be normal auroras seen from areas closer to the poles.

ah yeah, you're right, it is listed as Feb 1st under "occured".

Must've been caused by some lingering flare activity, as far as i know, you can't normally see the aurora from Oz.. well i never have!
