My 20th post couldn't have come at a better time... This is more of a statement than anything. For those of you in the Dallas TX area especially, did any of you witness the HUGE meteor last night and hear the Sonic Boom? I've seen plenty of meteors but this was AMAZING. It was a huge fireball with long tail and the Sonic Boom was amazing. It was so loud it felt like the ground shook. I heard it landed somewhere in Denton county, or so the media is guessing, but I haven't heard anyone actually say that have seen the crater, or what it left behind. Just curious if any of you have heard anything. Its been reported that it could be seen from San Antonio TX ...all the way to Oklahoma City

I live in the Austin area and I was just leaving work when I saw this! Such an amazing site (#1 for sure in my book). It looked like a plane at first but then the colors started changing and I heard a loud boom. It was definantely awe inspiring. I really wish I could have snapped a photo but I was too amazed my the sight I didn't even try to look away.

Was there any damage reported?

I am just east of Dallas and I heard it. I wish I had thought to go outside to see what the heck the noise was. I'm so sorry I missed it.

Yeah I heard that last night too and I am on the west coast of Florida. I heard two sonic booms. Nice to see what it was.
