4 Earthquakes in Vanuatu in last hour. Tsunami warning also, page

Just thought I would post this up as there is a Tsunami warning that is going out with it as well.

Seems Vanuatu in the western Pacific has just had 4 eqs., pretty close to each other starting at 4.9 for the first two followed by two at 5.1. The last one seem pretty shallow at 10 miles depth. Thought we might like to keep a eye on it for a little bit at least.

Perhaps some of our wiser members on earthquakes can weigh in on this as to how significant it may be.

It's fine, nothing is going to happen

The seismic activity is fair, but no where near severe, interesting that its getting a few hits in the 5 magtitude, especially in the last 24 hours, but this region is always getting tsunami warnings, and they never really amount to anything.

Cue me looking like a complete plank in 5...4...3...2...

I'm sure there will be an expert along in a minute who can give you the right answer

They just had a 7.1 Mag

Also Wellington NZ just off - 5.7 My hubby works here and was in the Crane at the time - didn't feel a thing.

They certainly seem to be climbing in magnitude rather quickly. Pretty big jump from 4.9 into the 7's. Thanks for sharing that.

Odd how folks feel them and dont feel them and they can be within a block of each other or so sometimes.
Guess we better keep a eye on this location for a bit.

Nothing unusual with the Vanuatu 7.1 - been waiting for that area to go off again as it's been a while since the last ones. We get biggies up there regularly.

It certainly won't make international headlines
