It's a new series starting on the National Geographic Channel.
Yep, Naitonal Geo.....not hardly one of your radical paranoid media outfits. Yet, National Geographic has taken a serious look at who is preparing for a Doomsday scenario.
Apparently it might be your neighbor? And you hadn't noticed, and you are being left behind (pardon the pun).
And wouldn't you know it, you go to youtube to watch clips of the episodes, and they have been removeed. What gives? Has political correctness become propaganda offering us false security that all will be okay in the world if we only resort to Flower Power?
So, National Geographic has apparently eschewed political correctness to get down to the nitty gritty of futuristic reality. It's not even biblical or Mayan prophecy so much as it is your neighborhood making plans.
Yeah, the more political correctness the media puts out there, the less people are accepting political correctness.
Could you be a Doomsday Prepper in waiting? Waiting for someone else to tell you it's okay not to be politically correct? Waiting for your neighbor to say, "Hey, when the dung hits the fan, don't come over to my house asking to borrow some food or ammunition."

My favorite line from this week's series of 'Justified:'
"You know what they say is the difference between an alcoholic and a drug addict. An alcoholic will steal your wallet and feel s***** abou it in the morning. A drug addict will steal your wallet and help you look for it."
Anyway, there's lots of different kinds of people making up the human race these days. And a lot of them will steal your wallet, one way or the other.
If you allow your wallet to be stolen, shame on you.

the post of mine you replied to, i was merely trying to say the episode paints doomsday preppers as being one end of a spectrum, black vs white the non preppers who feel there is no need to prepare for possible disaster , black vs white, my post was only trying to say there are shades of grey and that show is not doing shades of grey justice,
meaning that show ought to have pointed out that even IF a disaster doesnt occur it is better safe then sorry and you do not need to believe with certainty that something will happen just to prepare, in fact everyone should be prepared for anything they can be despite if they believe it will happen or not,
that show teaches you that you should ONLY prepare if you are certain there is something to prepare for which i disagree with,
thats all i was trying to say

There were several severly overweight....and I mean severely.....individuals on that show. Which kind of made me think that in a post apocalypitic scenario, those severely overwweight individuals would have a difficult time escaping the zombies.
The severely overweight truck driver did talk about his severely overweighted health issues.
Shoot. He might die of a heart attack before dying of a nuclear attack.
