Yesterday I heard this story. I wasn’t sure if I should post it on the blog. It proved all the announcement of Tepco was wrong. but The nuclear worker is trustworthy. I slept on it.
Please read the post below as a story I heard from a Fukushima worker.
______________________________________________

A story of a nuclear worker. Tepco was planning to start reactor 4 in the AM of 311.
(The nuclear fuel was in reactor.) Nuclear workers were told not to get close to reactor 4.
They found a crack on the pipe of reactor 4, so they cancelled to start it as scheduled.
It was hit by the earthquake on the same day. Soon after the earthquake hit it,
meltdown started. Because reactor 4 was stand-by, cooling system could not be started either.
About the storage place of contaminated water. I have seen the place reported on News.
It’s not the storage place of contaminated water. It’s somewhere else. The contaminated water
stocked at turbin building was already discharged to the sea months ago. The damage of reactor 4 is serious.
However, Tepco is planning to restart reactor 5, 6 and reactor 1~4 of daini. If it’s true,
(The nuclear worker is trustworthy.) In the container vessel of reactor 4, melted fuel is stocked,
but there is no technology developed to pick it up, It’s only the matter of time for it to have melt-out.
The longest time would be one year. If another earthquake hits it, it’s over. Technically speaking, if it goes melt-out, it would flow to the sea. Pacific ocean side of Japan and west side of America won’t be inhabitable anymore.

fukushima-diary.com...

This doesn't sound very good, if there is no technology developed to fix the problem the fuel is going to melt down to sea level putting all the contents of reactor 4 into the pacific.

It's actually worse than your worker friend is making it out to be.

300 tons of nuclear waste were dumped into the pacific the first week of the disaster. Just imagine how much has been introduced to the ocean by this point.

Here, a thread about the water currents and what it means for the planet.

Btw, seals in Alaska already have radioactive poisoning.

Just wait, you haven't heard anything yet...

WAIT JUST A MINUTE!!! My TV box hasn't said anything about Japan in months....isn't that over?

When are they going to tell the truth about the actual accident, then maybe they could start thinking of solutions.

good to see this topic being kept alive on here, my guess is tptb want this , along with many other issues swept under the carpet.

Only time will tell but its times like this when Japan and its people need all the support they can get, trouble is they are a proud people but that doesn't mean we should ignore its dilemma or the global implications !

I say the more informed the public can be.. the better, flagged !

Look at the response to this, and youve got your answers about how much ATSers really care. If the title was "Cop shoots dog!" or "Leftist Death Panels Coming to Abort Your Baby!" it would have 30 pages of replies in 12 hours.

But when Americans start dying in droves and the West is uninhabitable, ATSers will find a way to blame it on Obama, "liberals" and "socialists", I am sure of that.

I've been noticing this trend as well.
Topics that matter get 10 flags and 5 replies and BS have 12 pages of replies within several hours, just like you said.
Maybe Fukushima hits to close to home for some.

It does for me as well.
I'd rather ignore it then adress it but that doesn't make the problem go away.

If this is correct well what can one say, such crime and corruption has ruled this planet for considerable time. Tepco officials and the clowns who take the profit from such monsters, need to be charged and tried for crimes against humanity.

Why is it, that for the small and petty crimes the offenders get jail, yet crimes commited on mass or against humanity, result in plaques and profit for those concerned.

Perhaps after most of us have been poisoned the earth will find some type of piece. Good on you op, this monster has been way to quiet.

The last i heard, the seals had been taken for testing and they were awaiting results. I wasn't actually aware the results had been released yet? Also, whilst the symptoms were similar to radiation poisoning, they were also similar to several other nasty viruses / diseases that seals naturally get (hence the need for the tests).

What i am basically saying is hold the fort on judging whether or not the seals are suffering radiation poisoning until the results are out.

Frankly if it is as bad this implies or worse, what would the knowledge itself do to help other than create panic? How is the public becoming aware of the radiation poisoning help them avoid it? Those who are seriously interested in it have the resources to find out what is possibly happening. The rest are no better off for knowing about it. If they are actively suppressing the information, that is bad. But not actively spreading the information through constant media updates about it is not bad in itself.

There are other things where the knowledge may help people change things and they tend to concentrate on them.

Fukishima is the worst nuclear tragedy in history and we have not even begun to see the consequences of such copious amounts of nuclear pollution.

Expect cancer rates to spike.

The problem isn't with people that don't care, guys.
It's the fact that us average people can do absolutely NOTHING about it.
We can't stop these people from dumping radioactive waste...
We can't stop the media blackout from distracting everyone...
We certainly can't stop tsunamis or earthquakes from taking place.

If the ocean gets ruined, from mankinds insatiable appetite for material things, so be it.
It's not like we have any choice at this point, because we drive the need for electricity.
And electricity drives the need for nuclear power.

All we can do is stay informed and spread the word.
Take precautions to be ready for any type of disaster scenario.
Just be prepared mentally for all situations.
And take the time to talk about it, or vent a little.
That's about all we can do.

I know it's terrible.
I know it sucks.

But I know that until we get away from "progressing" society...(which we won't)
And I bet none of us are willing to give up our luxurious lifestyles...(LCD TV's, cars, electricity)
These accidents will continue to happen.

Truth hurts sometimes.

how many nuclear scientists do you think frequent ATS? This is about how far the conversation can go, besides for stating we shouldnt use nuclear energy without the ability to clean it up.. We got in same situation with the BP spill.. All we can do is say this sux, be upset about, and try to get governments to make these oil and nuclear facilities prepare for accidents better. Flags are not going to save japan or the pacific or anything.. Besides, this is a blog and may or may no

I think for most its more a matter of ignorance than apathy personally. Most people (except us Louisianians) have totally forgotten about Deeepwater Horizon already. And BP has all these cool commercials saying "come to the gulf!!" and such with all these smiling people. If its not on the T.V. then it doesnt exist to most Americans, and I have seen much more coverage of the dog and pony show that is U.S. elections than I have anything about Fukushima. Plus imo people are conditioned to think as long as it is happening in another country the mentality is "better them than us, does'nt affect us over here in the good ole US of A".

When I heard that there had been an incident on this multiple reactor and realised how worrying it was, I kind of understood that we, as a civilisation, had lost our chance to stick around much longer.
We had time, we had experience, we had the possibility to be a better race. Of course there are TPTB, the people that have no other interest than short term success, financial power most of the time. I had the chance (as in it allowed me to position myself) to work/meet very rich people in my young life. And rare are the rich men with a sensibility to anything other than enrichement.
I don't blame anyone. There is a system we have followed because it was a bit easyer. At the beginning of the XXth century, capitalism was seducing and we only saw what it could bring us. Our life quality boomed but like the child civilisation we are we always thought we needed more.
And we got more... way more... The problem is that today all we have, all the comfort, enhanced life quality, "misused technology" took us away from who we really are: organic beings. We might surf the net and have access to amazing knowledge but before all we are sons of the Earth.
I think the myth of Icarus represents our civilisation the best. I am quite depressed at seeing the state of our planet. I hope 2012 does bring us something.
I hope we will save ourselves, will we take action? Will we be helped?
I stay strong and positive as I try to be a better person everyday, "vibrating" with the cosmos.

Peace.

Logiciel.

If this is truly the case,
then as with other "waste" sites, a dome of concrete and other shielding materials will be poured until a better solution can be found. Relax, fellas. Take it step by step. This has been "dealt with" before.

The MSM plays into the notion that people's attention spans are quite short and they want to see sensational news. Fukishima was big news until Libya started. MSM drops Fukishima and focuses on Libya, then the tornados in the MidWest started, then another event and another event.

Once the next big event starts, the MSM shifts their focus because the other stuff is "old news". That is why I like ATS because you can get news of events after the MSM stops caring. Try telling the people of Japan, or Louisiana or even Joplin that everything is back to normal because the MSM stops focusing on it.

Whatever boosts the ratings I guess
