stumbled upon a United Nations Office For Outer Space Affairs
(didnt even know there was such an orginisation untill recently)

after browsing thru a few PDF files they have i was shocked to see this picture in a power point presentation

i seriously hope im not loosing my marbles but i am sure that top left says UFO in the catagory of Threats of solar, moon and cosmic origin

heres the picture i snagged from that file

do you think they are that old fashioned that they completly deny this possebility?...in case of a well done research on this topic UFO (does not mean ALIENS) is a possebility to mention (but mostly its one of the "will never happen" possebility)

Would you rather they did not have a plan for space threats? Being prepared does not mean the event will happen only we would be ready if it did...

The picture would have been more compelling if they had used an image of a flying disk for the UFO threats

Does The United Nations Know About UFO`s? , probably more than we do but less than the secrets held by the UK and US governments , in fact it would seem that the UK put a block on them knowing more .

The government also refused to back a 1978 attempt by the Grenadian delegation to the United Nations to establish an international working group to evaluate UFO reports, the letter states. "The British delegation did not think that such an agency was appropriate to the function of the UN." The MoD admitted the documents are a fraction of the thousands of records of alleged alien visits.

Not sure about the source of this, but the PDF you linked to is obviously NOT written by someone that knows anything about grammar or presentation skills. There are WAY too many "sentences" in the PDF that make absolutely no sense, and the photos are very sensationalized as if taken from "apocalyptic" type sites and added to it in no particular order. It looks like the work of a fairly unintelligent person honestly.

Remember: UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object...

as in: It could be anything flying around in space we dont know yet!

Like someone already said, UFO does not equal ALIENS

who wrote that article would be Unintelligent i mean its not hard to become a professor or a doctor is it?

IGMASS isn't really part of the UN but judging from other documentation I would guess that "UFO threats" would be referring to space debris. Unexpected Falling Objects? Or the Russian equivalent. I think its a translation issue.

Did you even read or absorb the information in the thread?

Of COURSE it looks "apocalyptic", it is about global disaster preparedness!

Is it just me?

Gortex already started to sum up some of my thoughts. R. Dolan talks about this issue quite a bit in his second "UFO's and The National Security State" book. A little country like Grenada tried to make an impact at the UN and were shot down, repeatedly. Funny that a coup happened shortly thereafter and then an invasion. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but it does leave some room for questions and thought...

In the 1970's, Sir Eric Gairy, then Prime Minister of Grenada (a small island in the Caribbean) repeatedly called for a special group within the UN to investigate UFO's. It was while Gairy was at the UN, attending a conference with other UFO experts, including Gen. Kurt Waldheim, the late Allen J. Hynek and Maj. von Keviczky, that a coup by a group calling themselves JEWEL put Maurice Bishop in power in Grenada.
