I am surprised that I did not see this on ATS yet. It was sent to me by a friend and I couldn't believe it so I did a search and saw nothing here on ATS but I did find that Dave's last visit was October 2009

I only met Dave once in San Jose so did not know him very well...but he was an icon here at ATS

DELAY, DAVID 63, Vietnam War Veteran passed away 1/20/2012. He is survived by his two sons, Dallas and future daughter in law Cori Higbee, and Chandler with future daughter in law Chelsea Herrick and expecting grandchild; brothers, John and Dobie; sisters, Pamela, Francesca, Haven; and numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, January 25th at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held 3:30pm, Thursday, January 26th, at Restland Memorial Chapel. We love you Dad. Peace my Brother, Peace.

Yeah he did a show on here a few years back....
I would have thought ATS would have said something or flown the flag at half mast.

RIP Dave.

Actually, I'm embarrassed to say this is the first I've learned of this.

I was afraid that might be the case...

Hope I didn't announce this improperly here in board.

Oh my god. What a shock.

I had the privilege of working, albeit briefly with Dave in the old ATS Mix days. I am just stunned at this moment. He had a great energy, and my respect for Dave is unmatched. He was one of the most passionate people I've ever known....my thoughts go out to his family.

Rest In Peace Dave......ATS should fly a banner for him, in his memory.

Stunned.......

The Dave Rabbit forum has been re-opened.

We'll be considering what else should be done in the next few days. Myself and Mark are in the midst of a bunch of things that prevent anything more... for now.

I am only familiar with Dave's stuff here at ATS.

Very sad news. My thoughts are with his family.

Wow whatta shocker. I had the privilege of being the very first ats mix interviewee and Dave and Johnny were so great to not only interact with but to listen to on a regular basis. Such a great pair that gelled together greatly!!!

My condolences to Daves family and friends.

He will be sorely missed by alot of us ATS'ers.

Via con dios old friend.

Thanks for opening his work on here again and let more of us see or remember his work.

I never do well with death in real life except to ignore it. I work around so, much of it you almost have to block it out. But, when it's someone you've known....even if just online I always do feel something. I still don't ever know what to do, but like I did when williamOneSac died, I'll again have to use music to talk for me. So here again is Bob Dylan

Dave and I communicated back and forth after we found out we had grown up a couple of miles from each other in Oak Cliff and had gone to the same movie theaters and knew of the same local musicians... He was a little over a year older than me but I had gone to Vietnam before he had... I had recently tried to find him online but was unsuccessful.... I really liked his shows on ATS and think they should be available as a tribute....
