Just exactly WHO are you calling a kid?
I will be 60 in 3 years and I know that I'm
not a kid.

I cried when I turned 30 and I partied on my 40th.

Same here. 30 was a biatch. 40 a peach.

I can't remenber my 50th

I wish I could forget that one. It's coming in the spring and I'm not all that happy about it. 50 age wise, 6 mentally. And I can prove it:

I'm 34 and I've never met a single kid in their teens or 20's who didn't think they are more mature than everyone else.

I'm old enough to enjoy good old fart jokes, every now and then. Certain level of immaturity is always required for keeping yourself sane in this otherwise mad world. I'd love to fart on the aliens. Oh, and I'm 35, btw.

That's actually quite interesting OP! I'm 21, and i always feel like i'm in a forum full of post-40year olds....

But i think that's because i've always attributed the younger generation as ignorant, and the older people as more wise, open minded, and easier to reason with, as opposed to the typical youth that just shut off completely to almost anything you tell them.

Then again, i may just be choosing the thought-provoking threads, with the right people, rather than mindless rants.

I don't know.... haha

Good thread

Started on ATS at 26, and oh how the times have changed in 4 short years.
I definitely think this place has actually helped me "grow up" a bit...

Which is a good thing to me.

I'm stealing this from you havok..as it applies to me to the T.

Chronological age doesn't always sync up with mental age.

Having said that, I am 50 years old.

I agree, I'm 20, don't have a lot of friends my age. In fact I hang around a lot of people 6-7 years older than me, and even then I find that I don't quite fit into place. The problem I find with older people, and not to be stereotypical here, but I do find that the older you are the more unwilling you are to open your mind up to new ideas. Perhaps it is the foundation they have created for themselves over time, or it is motivated reasoning. Exceptions noted. On the other hand the younger you are, the more willing you are to believe anything you see or hear.

I'm 19. I know i'm one of the young ones but i'm glad most of the people on ats are older would hate to think it's a bunch of 15 year olds making up storys and having a laugh.

I'm mature enough to not say anything too stupid yet still listen to and take in the wisdom and knowledge of my elders

55. (Well in a couple months,..)
20's 30's and 40's were --horrible--
and my female problem (periods)
were a nightmare from Hell on earth.
The pain and sickness was ungodly godawful
Now I am free free free of that torture
prison
Never felt better mentally, emotionally,
physically, monetarily, intellectually.
Never before. It's all good.

i am 64 and have been thru a lot and happy to find this site. i have found my voice and i am speaking out on facebook at the moment however my goal of a better planet of no slavery; i now call myself a Planetarin for i am of no country, believe in no government for being sovereign is my right for being born on this planet and feel i need to be responsible for nurturing this planet, and helping my planet-mates. i believe in doing no harm to the planet or my peers. at the moment i do not know how to put up my avatar or how to new post or forum to get information out that i have come across. i am about the truth, the whole, and nothing but the truth.
