Main Stream media vs. social media political polling

If you look at social media polling, Ron Paul is in 2nd place or arguably 1st place because the majority of Newt Gingrich's twitter followers are fake. Of course, Ron Paul is dead last in most main stream polls, despite winning all the Drudge Report polls. If we discount newt's fake twitter followers, Ron Paul is the most talked about, most subscribed on Youtube and other social media except perhaps Facebook, but that could be from Mitt Romney's organization.
