I don't think that having your kids at a substandard school will do anything except hold them back.

Figure out where the good schools are in your area and get your kids into them. It's your obligation as a parent.

I tried and they told me there was no room in the other schools, which is why I found it strange that they would tell me this.

I'm so OCD. I had to close this topic out. I just saw a news report on CNN about how shool techers in my city are allowed to get FREE cosmetic surgery on the Board of Education's dime. They even had one of the plastic surgeons on talking about how the majority of his patients are school teachers how they SHOULD be able to get free surgery because they "earned". Meanwhile on the dark side of the coin, my daughters' school ran out of school lunches. They started giving out tv dinners. And then they ran out of those too. WTF?
