You know what, stuff like this, it really does show that the government is scared to death of its citizens if they're putting people in prison for things like this.

Not really heavy handed. What did this moron think was going to happen? No such thing as a joke anymore in this country. You joke about that stuff here and you just might find yourself going home in a body bag.

This isn't really uncommon, they were just excited to be going to the great country of America, and they only ment they were going to tear up the town and have much fun. For the Marilyn Monroe, they just ment they were going to get some American foxes, and you don't need shovels Monroe is in a vault, you need a crowbar.

True story, I know this one guy, all he wanted was to come to America and get beautiful American girl, so he goes to L.A finds this most beautiful American hooker takes her up to the room. Then he tells me she had a Bigger than Mine.

Now if the TSA had gotten that girl, they would of said look out she's got a weapon.

This is proof that what you say online will land you in prison. Infact, anything you have said could still be used against you at some point.

Seems like the usual heavy handed antics from homeland security and the TSA. As per my previous thread on my experience how long before people start to avoid the states. I found going through your airports as enjoyable as attending a close family members funeral.

Well Bubba, before you get all excited, the TSA, regardless of your take on them, is in the USA, not the UK. Further, if you are walking through an area that is extremely flammable, and everyone is sensitive to it, you don't blithely dance through the area screaming "FIre" at the top of your lungs. That shows a complete lack of common sense... And, when you're dealing with something asinine like the TSA, and you are aware of their reputation for stupidity, inexorable dedication to pissing off anyone with an IQ higher than 23, copping quick feelies, and having a total lack of sense of humor... And you still type dumb crap like that.... MMmmmmm.... I'm not to inclined to be inmpressed with the common sense levels of your partners.

Well they got Rand Paul the other week.. so them bullying obviously innocent English tourists shouldn't come as any surprise.

You can bet they KNEW these young people were not a threat.. they detained them and let it all go public as a warning to everyone how much surveillance power they have, and how quickly they can frack your life in a moments notice..

You could almost cry... the freedoms we have lost and continue to lose are just depressing.

What the American Gov should really be scared of is the rest of the world getting fed up with them and, as a whole, liberating the good people of America from it's bi-polar government.

Thought of something even better.....

Take a picture of a small, harmless creature, like a bunny rabbit and post it on twit-er with the caption:
"This rabbit intends to carry out a series of large scale terrorist attacks across America" with some details and then send the rabbit..(preferably wearing an adorable little muslim headwrap and a tiny copy of the koran) to America and then wait at the airport to see if they conduct a full search of the bunny before detaining it indefinatly.

Infact, if enough people done this sort of thing, but with things like spatula's or rubber chickens or something, it would go a long way to outlining how freaking ridiculous this whole thing is.

Get real.
First, it could easily be slang (ie the joke I made above "tear up the town"). When someone says they are gonna "own you," you don't immediately assume it is meant literally, but technically it could. That is why we had common sense until the government outlawed it 10 years ago.
