I am Vincent and I am 15 years old. I used to think I was Christian but, after reading about it, I've decided I am not religious at all. The bible does not make any sense.

What does interest me though, is various theories. Lately, I have been doing a lot of research on the multiverse theory. That one is just.. intriguing, and really everything makes sense, it's just impossible to find proof.

I also believe that there are paranormal beings and extraterrestrials. I believe I have actually lived in a haunted house before. Stuff happened that you could not explain. It was me and my mom living there, and every single night the radio would turn itself off and on and random. There would be random surreal shadows on the wall.. then they would disappear, and I remember vividly, the strangest thing one morning. I was getting dressed to go to school, and then the loaf of bread, of all things levitated, and flew at the wall. That was it. Just flew up and hit the wall. After a couple months of weird occurrences such as those, me and my mother decided to find a new apartment.

I really want to talk to people about this though. I know I am young but, I absolutely HATE my generation of people my age. Everyone is so ignorant. If I simply mention to someone about my interests, I am simply the weirdo, or 'that kid'. I am a person who is just curious. We have discovered all of the continents, there is no more sailing for new land, it is all about improving the countries we have established to this point. There is space, but.. I do not believe that we will be visiting any new planets any time soon.. At least not in my life time, not with the way the economy is, coupled with how inferior our technology is at this point. It is slightly interesting to wonder though.

I have an extreme fear of mirrors.. Of all things, something about them is eerie. This is just paranoia though, I think.

I cannot think of anything else, that is me pretty much.

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with a bunch of rides, so with that said...

A few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret (ATS), the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

* Please check out those links posted above before getting on one of the rides. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

* Please be sure that you act like an 'civil' adult and are at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward).

* Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your all on. You should be mentally fit, stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented.

* Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might expect. Be aware you also might end up learning something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride.

* Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

* Please have fun! But be aware that if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentially spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is not only for your safety, but also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!

Johnny

Dear Flizzzop,

Welcome to ATS. I see a moderator has already sent you a response. 15, I think I remember being 15. I was raised Catholic; but, at 12 decided to become an agnostic, didn't become a Christian until much later. It is good to question and investigate rather than accept. You can get many stars and flags for saying you are not a Christian, don't let stars and flags be rewards for your beliefs, let your beliefs determine what you post and live with it. Tell us what you think and let us tell you what we think.

I worry about young people on the site because it can get rather personal and offensive, don't take it too much to heart. You be you, you stand up for what you believe and don't give information that would allow someone to identify you personally, don't let anyone know how to find you. Don't believe everything you read, every idea is not necessarily accurate, even conspiracy theorists make mistakes and some times the mistakes are the most interesting.

The moderators are your friend and to tell you the truth, they are pretty good on this site, they give you a lot of freedom as long as you don't resort to hate or name calling. They don't even require that you agree with them, they do require that you be civil, polite and not racist.

It is nice to see that young people want to know what is going on in the world, they live in it also. Ask more than you answer and answer what you believe and feel secure saying, you don't have to give away personal details. If a conversation gets too involved, let people know that you are young and they might be more gentle in their words. Peace and enjoy.

Hey Flizzop,

Welcome to ATS. When I think back, you was probably around the same age as me when I first came across this site. Wow, how time flies when you're having fun.

Hope to see you around.
