Man Devastated That Soon To Be Ex Wife Is Going To Sell The Apartment He Spent Years Turning Into The Bridge Of The Starship Enterprise

A British “Star Trek” fan said he was heartbroken when his ex decided to sell the apartment he remodeled into the interior of the Starship Enterprise.

Tony Alleyne, 58, said he spent years turning the interior of his Hinckley, England, apartment into a re-creation of the interior of the Starship Enterprise, but he is getting a divorce from his wife, Georgia, who holds the lease and wants to sell the place, The Sun reported Tuesday.

If you're a Star Trek fan you have to see this!

Here’s a word of advice, if you are such a trekkie that you convert your apartment into the starship Enterprise, then you’d better make sure the person you marry is just as much of a trekkie as you.

I'm sure it's a great looking place to visit, but who'd want to live in that everyday? Seems to me that the novelty of it would wear thin after a short time.

I prefer the simplicity of the original bridge of the Enterprise, the new version is too bright and flashy.

I'd just love to watch some sweaty fat brittish guy walk into that room wearing an ill fitting singlet and eating some crisps, scratches his privates then flops into the command chair. That would be awesome!

Feel sorry for the guy though... in so many ways on so many levels, but kudo's for his talent!

You're probably right...ok, throw in voice-activated computer interactive software and I'm sold!

The new Enterprise bridge definitely had a glossed look to it; a little flashy for me too. But I still enjoyed it the same.

Him, you feel sorry for him? He brought this on himself.

How about the real estate agent who has to show this? Somebody should film that, would make a great tv special!

You can see more in this video!

(edit: Watching all that incredible details and man-hours that went into this, you could almost hear the grinding of the Ex's teeth over her missing 'man-hours'.

Ha ha coolest apartment ever!

I wonder if he has got the automatic sliding doors as well.
And now when Apple released Siri... Well, it is a shame that he will be loosing the place before he probably got the chance to set that up.

On a lighter note I can see how this could happen.

Ex: "Honey, it's time for bed."
Dummy: "In a minute. I have to calibrate the phase inducers."
Ex: "This is getting old."
D: "This is getting old "Captain" if you don't mind."
Ex: "%#*%& *!^#"
D: "Sorry, the Universal Translator isn't working."
EX: "This...is....your...last....chance."
D: "I'm giving it all she's got."

I was watching Trekkies 2 earlier and the guy was there presenting his apartment. The man has done an amazing job.
The real story is that he started turning his apartment after he got divorced with his wife.

The person who wrote the "article" is such a dickhead that i would gladly hit him/her in the face.

As a trekker i feel sorry for the guy and i hope that he will find a way to keep his apartment.

His wife paid the mortgage for years and he got what he deserved.

However......when I first saw the article last week, I could only drull at such accomodation being a Trekky fan. He sure could turn his talent in to a business and make enormous $$$.
