How much time have you spent at the occupy movement. Where have you got your information from. I spent time at occupy in the UK and there are a diverse range of people there. From tree loving hippies to lawyers. Its best not to be too judgemental till you try something for yourself.

It is easy to be critical and you might think the movement will not change anything.. Protest and activism are an integral part of a democratic society. The US would not be here today if it was not for past protests nor would women in the UK have the right to vote..

Maybe you think its ok that the ruling elite choose to bring nations to there knees and rob the world of trillions;whist government gives them bankers immunity to prosecution.

So you failed in your first reply to me, and you reply with this? How about addressing your misinterpretation of socialism?

How can socialism have a bad track record when it has never been practiced anywhere? I think you are confused by the propaganda that tries to tell you socialism is something that it isn't. Countries with dictators are not socialist no matter what they call themselves. If you base your political beliefs on such shallow reasoning you have a lot to learn. Dictators are not trusted except for what they call themselves? Have you ever thought there might be a reason they called themselves socialist/communist? Do you think dictators never lie to gain power?

occupy is NOT one thing it is made up of ALL ideaologies,

to type cast the movement as you see fit shows ignorence and a lack of understanding the core issiues.

Now as much proof has been provided, OWS denies wanting anything to do with George Soros. Yet they are happy to take his money. They form a non-profit and send their funds through communist countries. But no, no agenda here.

As far as them tearing up fencing, construction equipment, etc. that is assenine. At least when the patriots tossed all that tea in the Boston Harbor there was meaning to it. These people who do that stuff remind me of the time I was at one my regular hang outs, a Grateful Dead show and a bunch of ti-dyed wearing teenagers scaled a back fence, tore down bleachers, & injured a bunch of people and the News showed pictures and talked about how selfish and greedy the Family and fans were and it was all over the news as propoganda, I believe. It was rumored the DEA was behind it because they were afraid the Dead was gaining too much popularity and the DEA puppets, an old group of hippies government shills from Berkeley instigated the whole thing so parents would nt let their kids go to one of those crazy Dead shows. The CIA sells drugs in this country by God. You wanna talk conspiracy? Two families one Berkeley, one Haight ~Ashbury, one had many 50 gallon drums full of raw crystal LSD the government needed to liquidate (pun), the other had 7 chemists all around the country making it. One worked for the DEA one worked for the people. One built people up and when big enough gave names. One avoided the other. I say stay away from anything out of Berkeley, or hired out of "People's park."
I digressed.
As far as people obeying "orders" its probably those obeying Soros with useless random violence. He warned this was coming.

Bud your barking up the wrong tree. It is not a movement to overthrow the US. This is worldwide movement in protest of a banking system that has robbed trillions from the world. It is a worldwide event that is grassroots in origin.

Theres a lot more than this now....

This plays out of the hands of the elite. The entire movement can be linked back to the Arab spring, Wikileaks, Anon and now the occupy movement.

Regardless of you opinion I know much of this movement is grass roots in origin. The best thing you could do is go and spend some time at an occupy and talk to peeps.

Brining attention to the power elite is not the agenda of a one world government for once they are exposed to the masses their game is up...

I have been quite vocal on my disapproval of the so called "OWS" movement in general. I have conversely also been quite vocal that these people have a right to peaceably assemble.

Some in this thread present a scenario of only peaceful protestors. Others present a scenario of only thugs and "anarchists" who have cost the city "tens of thousands of dollars". I suspect that both, on some level, is true.

Regardless of who the thugs were, and who the innocent protestors were, you are my friend and my brother. I trust you when you assert that you were innocent of any crime and doing what you did by right. Because of this, here now is your opportunity to bring some actual meaning to this meaningless leaderless movement.

If you were arrested for exercising a right then the arresting officers acted criminally. If you have been charged with a crime, it is imperative you do not plead and challenge the jurisdiction. That jurisdiction must be proven to exist on record before any trial can move forward. Assuming you were merely exercising a right, then it is easily predicted that no jurisdiction can be shown.

If upon challenge of jurisdiction, the prosecution drops the case, then that prosecutor has not acted criminally. If that prosecutor ignores your challenge of jurisdiction, then that prosecutor has acted criminally. If the judge dismisses the case, then that judge has not acted criminally. If the judge ignores that challenge of jurisdiction and imposes a plea of not guilty on you, then it is up to you to obtain a not guilty verdict under a defense of challenging jurisdiction. This is how you allow the criminals to bind themselves to their own criminality.

Assuming the prosecutor dismisses upon challenge of jurisdiction, then the judge is moot, the prosecutor has plausible denial-ability. The arresting officer(s) do not have this plausible denial-ability and have all ready acted criminally. If you do not use this incident to file a verified complaint against all those who acted criminally then this is just another tragic example of the uselessness of this protest movement.

Stand tall and demand justice. Don't just protest for it, demand and get it!
