You've got provocateurs, and people engaging in vandalism within City Hall. I suspect that people have either been hired or otherwise told to blend in with Occupy, make people think they are associated with the movement, and then engage in vandalism or aggressive behaviour against police, in order to discredit the movement.

juggalos dont help the cause much either but they do make good targets for police so atleast they take some of the heat off the rest of them

What basis are you using to suggest they are hired or somehow imported? Are you in Occupy or have you been watchng this closely for the last few months?? I'm having a tough time understanding how some people breaking into City Hall and trashing some of it would be hard for anyone to imagine an Occupy Oakland member doing, particularly given the history between the Occupy camp and the Mayor herself.

It's that knee jerk reaction before any facts have been collected or anyone can know the facts of a situation to immediately say Occupy can't be guilty which makes it such a joke, in so many key ways.

It's like the parents of a particularly bratty child insisting their kid does NO wrong and all is someone else's fault. Others may humor such parents, but no one respects or believes them...and Occupy is the same thing, in some ways now.

Lets at least find out who did it, before leaping to the defense of who didn't do it...so you're saying.

I am no fan of the tatics used by police in Oakland against this small group but the press is reporting they broke into a YMCA, broke into City Hall and stole a flag which they burned and then tried to break into the convention center...these protesters are not were not peaceful, they have gathered every Saturday night and have instigated the confrontations.

There are plenty of protesters that would march and have their voices heard but because of a few who brought improvised explosive devices and utilized other items as ammo, once again they have turned it ugly. Again I don't like the police tatics but they can't be allowed to destroy property and attempt to injure others. These people showed up looking for a fight and got what they wanted.

They did not break in to YMCA, they were let in by YMCA employees and shown where the back door was as they were being kettled by the police and were given an escape route. They did break in to city hall, after the kettling by the police department at the YMCA, while 200+ people were being arrested. Again, I will state that I do not support the occupation of empty buildings, as i think it is counterproductive.

Sex Pistols's version is banned for copyright in the US but we can probably get a bit of Megadeth in( I hope) It's a great version. It uses "in the USA" with American imagery too.

I've often wondered if they would ever try to put the occupy people into the detention centers... I don't think it's that far off. And if we have agent provocateurs involved in this.... they'll find a way to speed it along.

I grew up drinking mostly water and was diagnosed of MS after a bad headache and spell of optic neuritis at the age of 19.
