Because the offending business, mega-upload, and its servers are not located within the United States. They are in Hong Kong so the best we can do is coordinate with the local authorities.

In this case US Federal law was broken and per international treaty this is the redress.

I'm glad we have our priorities straight as a country. Allow Wallstreet and The Fed to rape and pillage, essentially allow anyone who is in a position of power or influence to have immunity. But then go after the least threatening individuals. It makes sense!

And until the American people fix their rectal-cranial inversions, get their butts off the couch and vote / participate in Government, it will continue to be the fault of the American people for the situation we are in today.

Who works really hard on a file (software, book, music, etc) and then uploads it to an internet site while deleting the original file on their laptop??? Don't people know how to use a computer properly? There is absolutely NO reason to delete the file from your local computer. Geez.

There is absolutely NO reason to delete the file from your local computer.

1. running out of storage space could be a reason
2. the average working speed of your computer reduces when you've got a gazillion files on there
3. why the heck NOT?

This is such total BS.

Eh FBI, where are the charges against Jon Corzine for stealing $3 BILLION FROM HIS CUSTOMERS???

Where are the charges against the bankers who committed TENS OF THOUSANDS OF FELONIES with foreclosure fraud??

Where are the charges against these PEDOPHILES WORKING AT THE PENTAGON??
Pentagon declined to investigate hundreds of purchases of child pornography

Yeah, let's get Megaupload instead!

This whole business really shows for WHO the FBI REALLY WORKS FOR.
edit on 28-1-2012 by Vitchilo because: (no reason given)

You hit it out of the park. Way to go slugger. Also why do they not arrest Eric Holder for being an accomplice in fast and furious which killed an American Border Patrol agent?

The biggest criminals in America work for the government and lobby for corporations.
