Can anyone help think of a good thread title for me?

Hey everyone! So I just did a bunch of research on how some inventors have used modified carburetors to achieve 100+ mpg in cars, then proceeded to disappear or die mysterious deaths, with rumors and reports of being targeted by the oil industry. However, the thread centers on how these inventions actually worked.

It's a big rabbit hole and i'm trying to figure out what a good name would be.

Well, I'd say modern statistics scare me very much - with all machinery.

There's no sense of real safety.

They'll say a crashing plane has a slim chance of having me on it, but it's still a chance, and what's worse is they ADMIT IT!

Can't they just deny it, like with botched clinical trials?

It was referring to how the inventors themselves died or disappeared. One of the guys who supposedly invented a highly efficient carburetor "committed suicide" and another just disappeared and wouldn't talk to anyone about it.

Well I'm not surprised.

I mean, if one could pin the motorcar on a singular person, I wouldn't be surprised if he also would consider it.

Forgiveness, the thread seemed quite open, but I see you are referring to specific intrigues and conspiracies.

But still, the murder of inventors wouldn't surprise me in the least.

In other domains like journalism or politics it is accepted that assassinations happen all the time across the globe (one could say every day).
Our industries are driven by technical inventors, yet here people would think the odd assassination doesn't exist.
Well maybe less so, because technical people can be shuffled around between regimes, and have a greater value than expendible reporters or activists.

Nevertheless, I think they have been, and are indeed targets.
