a very interesting comentry on Occupy the courts and occupy in general,
two very well read and highly aclaimed speakers give their opinions on how change is effected by movements and what the end game for occupy "could be" from two different perspectives.



i personally express that any and ALL forms of redress are to be tryed.
i do think that the current political environment is adverse to change,
as they try and consolidate power for them selves.

i think occupy should try both of the ideas of these two speakers

any further ideas from members would be apreciated.

We could get rid of the merit selection for one. Which is by the way a special committee who recomends several.

Instead of doing this, each community should elect them and then vote for them. If they are not elected, they should not be able to run. Most judges are usually ex lawyers and they are very good at manipulating the law.

thank you for the idea i have looked more closly at the confirmation process as well
it would seem that if judges were accountable by popular vote there would be less chance of corruption

Indeed. You know who is heavily in favor of merit selection? George Soros.

Now this is my gripe with OWS, they seem to be in favor of further removing the constitution and the "system" rather then restoring the constitutional values and principals that made America great. If they worked towards restoring the constitution, they would have my full support.

IMHO,
the occupy formula is taken directly from the constitution,
a pieceful free assembly of the people for the people by the people,
a occupation that is that expresion of free seach and free self assembly to ask for redress of grevences,
a movement where all are equal as expressed in the constitution,

the idea of a horizontal democractic process means ALL are equal,
ALL are FREE to INHABIT the PUBLIC space on equal grounds to speak, vote and plan for a better future.

when you look at it from my perspective it is about RESTORING america, not changing its founding.
the system has been corrupted, ie its not the system it is WHO is INHABITING the system and their ajenda.

i would like to beleive that before long the tea party and occupy and poliece and everyone realises this,

america is families in houses in comunities,
not banks with empty houses and people on the street.

this is MY PERSONAL OPINION ONLY
